I used to be a member here and my husband still has a membership. I quit going because the equipment was so poorly maintained. I liked the movie cinema but it is very hot in there as the ceiling fans are too high and do not cover the entire room. Also, the treadmills in there are in bad shape. You have to watch your step as the belts are really worn out. If it were cheap, that would be one thing, but it isn't. The memberships are pricey. And, they are hitting members in other ways, too. During the summer, my husband takes our son with him to they gym. It used to be $5 for a guest. Last weekend they raised it to $10. It's not really practical for us to purchase a long membership for a 12 year old but it also is not practical to pay $10 for him to walk on the treadmill for half an hour. It sort of makes me mad that someone can come in off the street with no membership and work out for $10-which makes the gym super crowded--paying the same price as the guest of a member who has already paid hundreds of dollars to join. My husband has 6 months left. After that he will go somewhere else.

The truth is this gym is just not clean. And I mean the basic level of cleanliness you would expect at a "family"health and fitness facitlity. The upkeep of equipment is shameful. The cardio machines have defective TV's, audio jacks or both and there is always at least one "out of service". Go take a look, there is ONE functioning water fountain in the entire facility! This has been the case for weeks and they have yet to fix at least one of the broken ones. That is beyond ridiculous. There is dust everywhere you turn. I like the classes offered and the instructors, but the studio room has a terrible floor that waves up and down, the floor has been neglected to the point of almos being hazardous. The Yoga room is AWFUL! I refuse to do any classes in there because it's a carpeted room (who does that in a gym, really?) and the carpet smells terrible and looks even worse. I'm not sure how anyone tolerates it. Just don't get stuck in a contract, they do not care about the clients. They can't even keep up with the basics you would expect at any decent gym. It's quite a shame.

The manager, Aaron, told me it would not be a problem to cancel my membership upon an expected job transfer. He told me all I had to do was let him know and he would take care of it. I let him know and he never cancelled it, nor would he take my calls or return calls after the fact. Once I cancalled it with the billing company and put a stop draft from my checking, I had to deal with phone calls from the billing company for months and fight getting sent to collections for early cancellation. It was a year long, aweful process.

OMNI Fitness Center's Aerobic programs are excellent - thanks to Great Instructors like Kim, Judy, etc., We as a family enjoy every bit of the center - Yoga is at its BEST at Omni - with Holly, the yoga GURU ! No Happiness like Health and fitness !

best gym in fayetteville hands down!!! i love this place, the classes and zumba is amazing!!! i have only good things to say about the OMNI!!

The comment on 8/17/2010 is interesting!!!!! I personally know him and that is not his character at all...sounds like someone is just trying to start trouble. There are a lot of you kind of people out there, and as far as all the negativity toward the gym from other comments it's sad that you people have nothing better to do but write and say negative things life is to short it's not worth and Omni Health and Fitness is a wonderful gym!!!! Grow up!!!!

I have had an overall good experience at the omni, other than an employee...I believe he said his name is Billy Gaskins...when he told me to Fu*% off!!! He reallys needs to be fired and not work around people. He doesn't know how control his anger!!

I had heard the gym was great because of the classes that were offered. I started going with my friend and I was given a 1 month pass to try the gym out by the morning staff. I went in the next day around 5:45am and I had no problems with the front desk staff had a great class and left. I returned the same day at 5:50pm to try out another class and was highly disappointed by the front desk staff. I showed my pass and was grilled about how did I get and who gave it to me. This was my first time at a gym and I did not know the "procedure" of passes. My pass just had 1 month on it and nothing else. The front desk staff did not sign a name or anything else. Ryan Terricciano (Sales/Admin) begin going over the spill about the membership with his counterpart after seeing my pass. I told them I wanted to continue to try it out to see if this is something I really wanted to do. They were aggressive car salesmen who did not have a clue about common courtesy or business basics. I really enjoy my membership at Omni. However, I wish they would post a sign at the front counter & on the door to the movie room stating (not asking) ABSOLUTELY NO TALKING DURING MOVIE. On several occassions, I have been 30 minutes into my workout, while enjoying the featured film. Suddenly, a few friends will enter and sit on bikes up front and carry on a LOUD conversation as if they do not see the rest of us watching the movie. It is the most annoying and inconsiderate thing! It's nothing personal against the Omni staff, they are friendly and helpful. However, a few of the bad apples create a really bad taste for the rest of us!

I've been a member for less than a year and today was the 5th time that no one showed up to open the gym at 0500. It's a PIA to drive across town only to find 25 people standing outside waiting on an Omni employee to open the gym. It seems to be the same employee each time.I called and spoke with Brian who claimed to be the manager. All I got was "Sorry that happened, this is the first time I heard this...I'll look into it blah, blah blah.. Apparently they have no backup plan when this happens.

I have not been happy with the omni facility since I began working with the personal trainers contracted with omni. the personal trainer who signed me up misled me about the duration of my contract, and since I didn't think I was being mislead, I didn't review the contract, and omni is not interested in doing anything about this problem, and of course, neither is the personal trainer co. This morning I checked my bank statement to see that omni has charged me an additional 39.00 this month, probably some kind of yearly service charge, even though my membership is up in DEC.'09. I sure won't be re-signing a contract. So not happy with this facility. It's all about the money, not customer satisfaction.

This has been my worst experience with a health club in the 15 years that I have lived in Fayetteville. The child care area is filthy, the gym is filthy, and the locker room is disgusting! This was a horrible decision that I made and I regret it on a daily basis. Equipment is already run down and the management is unresponsive to members. Once again....STAY AWAY!!!

When I loved back to Fayetteville from Raleigh in June 08 I was worried that I might not find a gym to the calibre of gyms in Raleigh. After a couple of weeks of searching I decided on one of the gyms that was only just sufficient. As I came to the end of All Amaerican I looked to my right and saw the sign for Omin. When I pulled in Murphy, one the sales reps, was at a table out front. The fire marshall was walking through on his inspection. I took one look inside and told Murphy to write up my contract.With all clubs there are problems opening. I have never joined a brand new club and seen them open on time. Just the nature of the beast. The club is large enough to service the number of memebers. When there was a locker room issue (men's) about the number of lockers available a new bay of lockers was placed in the men's locker room. I looked at the cardio equipment recently to see what was going on with headphone jacks. I bring my own music with me so the jacks are not an

Buyer Beware. When we got PCS orders reassigning us away from Fayetteville, it took three months for my membership dues to stop being collected. Our family stopped using the gym, but the dues continued for 3 months afterward. We complained at the gym. They passed the buck to "corporate"... still waiting for the Omni staff to explain further or give a refund. No results.

At first glance the facility looks very nice.Treadmills and Elliptical machines need maintenance. Many of the headphone jacks on the machines are broken and this has been brought to the attention of the staff numerous times with no results.This morning 6/11/2009 there was no one there to open the facility. Waited 15 minutes and left....

It would be of great service to us if we could come to this website to check the monthly schedule. Thank you.
