Jim's Gun Jobbery & Indoor Range

I took the concealed carry handgun class this past Saturday and realize the importance of what the law states and the after affects of what happens after the shot was made. Very interactive class with questions that make you think and examine when to engage or use good judgement to avoid a confrontation. This class is not for those who closed minded and think they know the law, it is for those who desire to stay out of trouble, examine the situation, and take protective action in a variety of forms. My wife took this class before at another gun store location and she learned very little. She could of read the book herself and skipped the sad lecture. I wished she would of gone with me to Jim's to really learn about the consequences of her actions, the aftermath, and money that will be spent on defending yourself in and out of court. this is truly an exceptional class that is straight forward. Lastly the range exercises were realistic and explained as to why you did what you did. Highly recommend.

NOT WELL MANAGED. A few good people work here but there are just as many arrogant idiots, often shooting off their mouths about politics while assuming you agree with their stone age mentality. I told them I wasn't coming back because of the way the guns were handled at the range desk. The next week someone was shot in the leg. There are (or were) bullet holes in the ceiling. What more do you need to know?

Just because we can wear a skirt doesn’t mean we don’t know anything about guns. These guy's at Jim's think they can rip off a female. Service is terrible. Trying to convince me to buy a more “lady like” gun. Yeah right, that doesn't really put my attacker on the ground does it? Never again.

They don't act as if they do, and this is before I even step in the door. I called the number listed around 7:15pm on Tuesday, 06/23/09 to ask about their business hours and range fees. All I wanted to do was find a place to practice shooting and Jim's was recommended by a couple of friends in the Armed Forces. Here is a recap of the experience:



Me: Called the number listed. It rang 6 times. Someone picked up the phone, then hung up. Thinking they may have meant to put me on hold, I called back. The phone rang 5 times and then someone answered.



Jim's: Yes...



Me: Hello, I'm calling to find out what your business hours and range fees are.



Jim's: We're closed.



Me: Ok, can you tell me what your hours and fees are?



Jim's: We're closed now.



Me: Ok. What are your hours tomorrow?



Jim's: We're closed now and counting all this money. We can't be disturbed. Bye.



Then they hung up. This person spent more time on the phone NOT aswering my questions than he would have if he had, at the very least, told me what their hours are. And all without the slightest hint of apology in his voice. Plenty of bad attitude though. I'm sure I can find a place that welcomes new customers instead of turning them away.
