The reviews that I am reading are not true. I went to the property and didnt get the experience that is being explained. The Ladies in the office went out of their way to help me and it was genuine they were not fake. I can tell fake people. They were calling maintenance on the spot when someone was callin in issues as I was hearing a call coming in. Those ladies were on the go non stop. They were for their tenants. Their maintenance staff too was on the go as well, so I would definitely recommend this property!!

Brittany place is one of the worst property's in Fayetteville. the receptionist / leasing agent does not have a clue. It appears the only thing the manager does is take the rent to the bank. work orders are slow to get done, if they are done. No pool, the laundry building opened up and half the machines don't work, additional it is unkempt and dirty, Also in the basement of a building that seems to be abandoned. the fitness center just opened. it is a sad and scary. next to empty pool, abandoned building and sparingly used laundry room. The grounds in general is poorly maintained, cigarette butts everywhere and management threatens to fine the whole building $50, even if you do not smoke, and rather do the right thing and pay maintenance and grounds keepers, they would rather charge you more money to live in a hell hole. there are more and more dogs on the property and dog feces that management does nothing about. I say run, run far and fast from this hell hole.
I would highly suggest the Lake in the Pines if you are okay with having to call the cops for a creeping peeping tom. OR if you're okay with coming outside to see several people "hot boxing". Never mind finding out your neighbor is a drug dealer. (By the way a murder occurred here less than 3 years ago. We didn't find that out until after moving in.) Additionally, forget having your beloved dog here...they refuse to treat the grass year round (They "stop in the winter" mind you its now mid March- apparently it's still winter to them?) Therefore, I have poured $1,500 into vet bills in the past 3 weeks in attempts to save his life. (He is currently now being hospitalized for multiple issues- starting with whip worm and hopefully ending in Giardia. The vet assured me just by walking in the grass, sniffing or eating it caused this...and he is always home no where else. Prior to living here he has never had any health conditions, also keep in mind all of this is transferable to humans.) Additionally, if you have a maintenance problem prepare for a wait. We have needed a door replaced that they broke during their last air filter change. We were assured they were ordering a door. Two months later its still not replaced. Lastly, the apartment assistant manager is very rude and refused to say sorry. The only comments out of her mouth were, "Be sure to fill out a 30 day notice to leave." In conclusion to live here you have to be a handy man, cannot have pets, or go without a gun. We are happily breaking our lease. What a nightmare!
Family Lodge Apartments is very nice. Everyone I have met has been friendly. The apartments are convenient, comfortable, and quiet. They are also available to rent at a reasonable price.
Great place to move if you don't have much but overall the management team sucks. I almost always have to put in the same work order at least 3 times before anything actually gets done. Property manager is very rude and facetious when it comes to creating solutions for client concerns. Maintenance team is more concerned with working the clock than gettin things done. If it wasn't for the prices I would, without a doubt, say this is the worst complex in town
This is probably the worst apartment complex I have ever stayed in. Maintenence doesn't know anything about maintaining and fixing stuff. I have leaky pipes in my floor and in my walls. When I asked them to come fix it all they did was spray some paint over the spots and tell me to watch it. It took 6 months to get a screen put on my bedroom window, im sitting on 2 weeks with my ac not blowing cold, the walls are stupid thin, you can here your neighbor taking a pee, walking, having nuptials .....everytime I call to have them come fix anything they act like they don't want to put in the work order in the office. The office staff likes to hang up on you when you get upset because they want to violate the lease instead of fixing the issues. My lease is almost up and I will NOT be renewing. The security is decent but they like to hang out with the residents when they work....I've seen a few of them drinking while on shift...this apartment complex is a joke...they need to level them out and build new up to date buildings and seriously screen their applicants....Barrington Place went from being crime filled to drug dealer on every street. I seriously am ready to move out. This place is a freaking joke.
was wishing I could give 0 stars but I was forced to do one I am disappointed in the new management there after a shoot out one resident had with the police (mind you this is supposed to be a secure place to live) I decided to no longer reside there my lease was up at the end of the month so I didn't see a big deal they called me every day to convince me to stay. And when I refused they told me even though my lease was up I still had to pay next month's rent I agreed even though it was unfair. Signed my papers and moved on with my life. 3 months later I get a paper from them stating that they have charged me from January 31 until may 1st when I moved out on the 31st . But that's not all they claim I had some trash left behind in my apartment so they figured someone was living there that's why I was charged also. Along with the charges a eviction notice that I was unaware of and a light bill!!! I was outraged the manager Nikki states she can't do anything I'm confused on how I can be evicted from somewhere I have not lived in 3 going on four months. Oh and to put the icing on the cake I got charged for pet fees and I have no pets not one pet fee but two . Charged every month for the washer and dryer and trash pick up for every month I wasn't living there. No officer contacted . Neither did the office. When I asked why they never sent me anything the witch responded we posted it on your door . I asked why didn't she mail it she stated she didnt have my updated adress but she sure had it to send me this bill . Moral of the story don't waist your time or money they love to take advantage of you and charge you for every little thing even if it doesn't pertain to you
If i could rate this apartment complex lower, i would. Let me start out with the location; The location isn't bad since its close to Bragg. Thats the ONLY benefit. The cons; Upon moving in to the over priced apartment complex, there was an issue with cockroaches. After several bug "treatments" they insisted that the problem will go away after the next treatment. False! The bug issue was never fixed. Not once did they offer to do anything more to help mediate the situation. When discussing this issue with KIM she blamed it on a "cluttered apartment" even though she never took one step inside my apartment. Thats insulting in itself. So once again, KIM did nothing to fix the issue except insult me. Next; the dumpsters are disgusting and always filled with trash from the outside. Thats a sanitation issue. Then to top it off, they place the dumpster right next to the "dog park". The "dog park" shouldn't even be called a dog park. Its only labeled as a dog park just so the apartment complex is more appealing in the description. Not to mention the dog park has no one to upkeep it. There have been numerous times where trash from the dumpster has over flowed into the dog park. Its pathetic of them to even market it. Lets move on to the next subject, their gym. The gym is the size of a janitor closet. It is rarely cleaned out and has barely any gym equipment. Next subject; the tanning booth. Avoid it. Its never cleaned out and is a great breeding ground for who knows what. Last but certainly not least, the staff; There is ONE staff member who certainly knows what he is doing. His name is Matt. The few issues that had been brought up to him were taken care of swiftly Which is greatly appreciated. He should be the manager because he has professionalism as well as takes great pride in the work he does. Now lets move on to KIM;If there was a contest for who the most unprofessional staff member is, she would be the undisputed champion. The pathetic part is that she is the manager. Once again, she is the manager and displays absolutely no professionalism. Instead of doing anything she can to help a situation, she would rather argue then come up with a solution. Not to mention rather than taking responsibility for a mess up, she kept pointing the finger elsewhere in desperation. If she was a Sesame street character, she would be Oscar the Grouch. She even threatened eviction because we didn't agree with her OPINION. It also seems as if I'm not the only unhappy tenant. Until this excuse of a manager learns people skills, gets fired, or goes anywhere else but Independence apartments, there is no way i would EVER come back here again. Nor would i EVER recommend anyone who i value as a friend to move there. Please take this warning and run far away from this apartment complex and don't look back.
When we moved in to these apartments the property was managed by a different staff. The new management has lowered the standard of living substantially. Everything from no parking to constant inspections makes living in these apartments a hassle. The management assigns you one parking spot, so if you are anyone other than a loner with one car you have to park your other family members car in a visitors spot. During the evenings and the weekends all of the visitor spots become occupied and people even resort to parking on the grass, which turns the property muddy and unsightly. You may even have to resort to parking out near Ramsey St. or across the property from where you reside!! Also the management insists on inspecting your apartment which has lately been nearly on a monthly basis! The property manager insists that she must be along with the maintenance personnel to inspect the apartment which turns your apartment into a zoo with every staff member invading your personal space. This apartment complex has potential, but that potential cannot be reached by current management. The management is untrustworthy and will lie to you to benefit themselves. For instance when a person moves out of a residence, and a parking spot becomes available, they will lie to the residents about the status of that parking spot telling them that it is occupied so they cannot park in it. The management is also rude and accusatory to the residents. When inquiring about the frequent inspections they asked what we would have to hide. Well as an American citizen I value privacy and do not want to have staff parading through my dwelling as frequently as they wish. Out of the eight years I have lived here and 4 different apartment complexes this is the worst management I have experienced.
