The managers at Family Lodge Apartments are really friendly and courteous. They do a great job of handling things in a very helpful and professional way.
I would highly suggest the Lake in the Pines if you are okay with having to call the cops for a creeping peeping tom. OR if you're okay with coming outside to see several people "hot boxing". Never mind finding out your neighbor is a drug dealer. (By the way a murder occurred here less than 3 years ago. We didn't find that out until after moving in.) Additionally, forget having your beloved dog here...they refuse to treat the grass year round (They "stop in the winter" mind you its now mid March- apparently it's still winter to them?) Therefore, I have poured $1,500 into vet bills in the past 3 weeks in attempts to save his life. (He is currently now being hospitalized for multiple issues- starting with whip worm and hopefully ending in Giardia. The vet assured me just by walking in the grass, sniffing or eating it caused this...and he is always home no where else. Prior to living here he has never had any health conditions, also keep in mind all of this is transferable to humans.) Additionally, if you have a maintenance problem prepare for a wait. We have needed a door replaced that they broke during their last air filter change. We were assured they were ordering a door. Two months later its still not replaced. Lastly, the apartment assistant manager is very rude and refused to say sorry. The only comments out of her mouth were, "Be sure to fill out a 30 day notice to leave." In conclusion to live here you have to be a handy man, cannot have pets, or go without a gun. We are happily breaking our lease. What a nightmare!

was wishing I could give 0 stars but I was forced to do one I am disappointed in the new management there after a shoot out one resident had with the police (mind you this is supposed to be a secure place to live) I decided to no longer reside there my lease was up at the end of the month so I didn't see a big deal they called me every day to convince me to stay. And when I refused they told me even though my lease was up I still had to pay next month's rent I agreed even though it was unfair. Signed my papers and moved on with my life. 3 months later I get a paper from them stating that they have charged me from January 31 until may 1st when I moved out on the 31st . But that's not all they claim I had some trash left behind in my apartment so they figured someone was living there that's why I was charged also. Along with the charges a eviction notice that I was unaware of and a light bill!!! I was outraged the manager Nikki states she can't do anything I'm confused on how I can be evicted from somewhere I have not lived in 3 going on four months. Oh and to put the icing on the cake I got charged for pet fees and I have no pets not one pet fee but two . Charged every month for the washer and dryer and trash pick up for every month I wasn't living there. No officer contacted . Neither did the office. When I asked why they never sent me anything the witch responded we posted it on your door . I asked why didn't she mail it she stated she didnt have my updated adress but she sure had it to send me this bill . Moral of the story don't waist your time or money they love to take advantage of you and charge you for every little thing even if it doesn't pertain to you
When we moved in to these apartments the property was managed by a different staff. The new management has lowered the standard of living substantially. Everything from no parking to constant inspections makes living in these apartments a hassle. The management assigns you one parking spot, so if you are anyone other than a loner with one car you have to park your other family members car in a visitors spot. During the evenings and the weekends all of the visitor spots become occupied and people even resort to parking on the grass, which turns the property muddy and unsightly. You may even have to resort to parking out near Ramsey St. or across the property from where you reside!! Also the management insists on inspecting your apartment which has lately been nearly on a monthly basis! The property manager insists that she must be along with the maintenance personnel to inspect the apartment which turns your apartment into a zoo with every staff member invading your personal space. This apartment complex has potential, but that potential cannot be reached by current management. The management is untrustworthy and will lie to you to benefit themselves. For instance when a person moves out of a residence, and a parking spot becomes available, they will lie to the residents about the status of that parking spot telling them that it is occupied so they cannot park in it. The management is also rude and accusatory to the residents. When inquiring about the frequent inspections they asked what we would have to hide. Well as an American citizen I value privacy and do not want to have staff parading through my dwelling as frequently as they wish. Out of the eight years I have lived here and 4 different apartment complexes this is the worst management I have experienced.
my husband and I moved there about a year ago and got out as soon as we could. first of all, there were mulitple shootings in our time living there, I did not feel safe, whatsoever. secondly, these people will charge you for everything! their best internet is $50 a month and it only worked maybe two or three weeks out of the month, and when it did, was EXTREMELY slow! also, if you have any pets, not the place for you. there's is an initial $250 nonrefundable fee, along with $25 a pet per month. if your unit has any pet damage, do NOT think that will cover it. we spent well over $500 to have our pet there and when we got our security deposit back, with money taken out for pet damages, were told all that money was just for the "luxury" of being able to have a pet. the only reason I even give this place 1 star, is because I had to. Oh! and let Me not forget, their maintenance is AWFUL! our ac didn't work in the master bedroom, and they said that's just the setup to the apartment. to just block off all the other vents so it'll push air through. we tried, still didn't work! they were just too lazy to go check the ducts! it took them 10 min to determine that reason. whatever. anyway, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!
Good place to place your ad.
