I would not recommend going to Visionay Eye Care with Doctor Brown. First, Dr. Brown is not very good with people. He does not make eye contact, does not smile and say hello as he walks in... he is very cold and always made me feel quite uncomfortable. Secondly... I have just learned I have Cataracts, and not from Dr. Brown, although it is listed as one of his specialties. For the last year I have told he and his staff over and over again there is something wrong, that I cannot see. I had had two exams from Dr. Brown and I was told to come in for another one which I did. Dr. Brown said that he didn't know why I was having problems seeing but he gave me some eye drops and sent me on my way. I did as I was told, used the eye drops for two weeks and wore my glasses. My Eyes continued to feel horrible so I called the office and spoke to Sarah who told me that she was sure it was allergies because she had seen a lot of people with allergies lately and there was really very little they could do. I called back several more times to say it was really bad and was made to feel like I was driving them nuts..... I knew there was something else going on but apparently they know better then me. After agonizing for months I went to a specialist and learned I have several Issues, one of which is Cataracts. There is much more to this story but I won't go there. I write this hoping that others will not take Dr. Brown and Sarah as the last word... YOU see through your eyes, YOU know if there is more going on.... don't let them make you feel like you are nuts!... I was also told by Sarah that if I go into their office to cause any trouble about my dissatisfaction she would call the police.... They don't want anyone sitting in the waiting room to hear my story... so I'm writing this review.

My family go to Visionary and the service is excellent. I would recommend them. The staff at the front desk are great and Dr. Thomas Brown is wonderful!

I came here a few weeks ago to get an eye exam. The entire staff, from the front office staff (the receptionist), to the lens technician who helped me pick glasses to Doctor Brown were really very nice and professional.

It's been a few years since I'd had an eye exam but I felt completely at ease with it all. The lady that helped me pick my glasses was VERY informative, telling me which frames complemented my facial structure and which colors made my eyes "pop" (her word).

Just based on this one experience, I would absolutely recommend coming to this eye care clinic. They are all very nice and professional.

My wife and daughter had an eye exam in May 2015 and were wrongfully charged out of pocket $93.50 when this company should have billed our insurance for that amount. After confronting Sarah about this explaining to her that our insurance company would cover that amount she tried to argue that my wife was not correct and tried to fight giving her a refund. When my wife went back to their office to get the refund put back on to her credit card Sarah charged her another $93.50 instead of refunding. When we called Sarah to notify her that they charged us again, the company(office manager) refused to write us a check for the amount they in their own error took from us. So not only were we not given our initial refund we ended up having close to $200 taken from us and we ended up having to go to our bank to dispute the charges. Sarah tried to apologize for the error yet in the same breath refusing to refund us immediately. That's the same as me snatching $100 out of your hand and then apologize for doing it but not hand you back your money.

I would strongly advise that no one use Visionary Eyecare in Fayetteville GA. The service is poor and they do not care about there customer based on our experience.

Avoid this place!

I visited this location in January 2010 and paid $500.00 for a pair of Progressive lens glasses. When I received the glasses, I immediately stated that something was wrong. The receptionist/assistant told me that with Progressive lens, it could take me over a week to get used to change and I accepted that and left. I visited again a couple of weeks later because I just couldn’t see right out of them. The receptionist/assistant made an adjustment for how the glasses fit my head and told me that I would get used to them that it would just take time. I never did. I finally stopped trying and after reading all types of reviews about the progressive lens thought that maybe I was one of the few people that just couldn’t wear them. I recently went to another eye doctor to have my vision tested again. On this visit it was determined that the prescription for my glasses purchased at Visionary Eye Care was completely wrong. The prescription for my right eye was +0.50 and it should have been -0.25. They had my reading prescription at +1.75 and it should have been +1.50. I visited Visionary Eye Care and explained the problem and requested that they replace the lens at no cost to me and they refused. I would recommend that you find another eye doctor to do business with. They make serious mistakes and they refuse to do the right thing and fix it. This was a total waste of $500.00.
