We have not eaten yet but the drinks have been fantastic! We like the individual TV's at the booths so we can listen to different games if we choose. All of the servers have been smiling and friendly.

Sara was very attentive, the food was great. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and they were very tasty. I will definitely be back again.

I've ate here numerous times due to the great location. I have never been impressed with the food. I was impressed with the 2 foot long hairs in my salsa bowl though. Impressive and revolting. Needless to say, that was and will continue to be my last experience with them. Go there at your own peril.

Overall

I purchased tacos from Jose's tonight, and the food was so bad that I am creating accounts on this website, as well as several others to write negative reviews. I purchased chicken and beef tacos: The chicken tasted like canned chicken with some peppers stirred in it. Not only that, but the batch was clearly stretched with a flour additive. The beef was extremely dry and it too tasted like it had flour in it to make the pot go further. The rice was bland with the exception of a strange semi-TexMex spice--It resembled the aftertaste of vomit. The beans had been sitting under a heat lamp and had a crunchy layer on top of them. I have never eaten out and been so dissatisfied with the my meal. The meat quality was lower than TacoBell, and I would expect prison food to be of higher quality. I will NEVER eat here again, and I would advise anyone to go to any of the other mexican restaurants that are on/around Dickson street. Much like I would advise against swimming in shark infested waters, I would advise the populous to avoid Jose's Mexican "Restaurant."

Living off of the Past

Jose's has been an institution in Fayetteville for a long time. It is still a great place for a drink and to people watch, but for the food, with the exception of the guacamole, there are far better places to eat mexican or tex-mex in Fayetteville. A great bar spot on Dickson but avoid the food and eat elsewhere.
