        Evergreen Behavioral Services as formed in 1994 to address a community-identified need for expanded mental health services in Franklin County and surrounding areas in Maine. It is a collaborative effort of the Franklin Community Health Network and the Sisters of Charity Health System, which is the parent corporation of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. The community employs a work force of psychiatrists and a staff of mental health and substance abuse counselors. Evergreen Behavioral Services also offers outpatient mental health and substance abuse programs and an employee assistance program. It is owned and operated by St. Mary's Health System and is located in Farmington, Maine.
