My drink had to be returned. Not real lime juice first time what? The tomatoes were sour in my salmon dish. The salmon was Off. My companion enjoyed his liver a lot. The minestrone was good. I will be back . I had great experiences in the past.
Not a wow tonite by any means and I was excited to come here. Disappointed so sorry. I love having a waiter and tablecloths and all that contributed to ambience. Not a 5 star.
Best minestrone in town. Good filets, although the zip sauce is salty, but service is inconsistent to the point we no longer go here, having walked out our last visit after being seated in Booth 1 and being ignored for 15 minutes. Lelli's Auburn Hills does a far better job of giving you what you pay for: a complete meal, attentive service, and consistency in every important respect! Steve Lelli has lost his focus. Such a shame!
Worst service EVER. What a shame! I was so thrilled to bring my mother here for Mother's Day and our waiter disappeared. Waited over an hour for the food and after 75 minutes we got up & walked out! Brought attention to our situation politely to 3 people & we were blatantly ignored by all, including some woman manager who was more interested in straightening tables than correcting our situation. Absolutely pathetic. If you cannot host a special occasion properly, than stay closed.
The Best Filet mignon in town period! !
My family has been to this restaurant on several occasions. We really love the ambiance, food, and usually the service. However, we have, on occasion had a slow or unattentive waiter. These things happen sometimes and the owners were very appologetic and treated us with free deserts (which were Also Delicious!)
Well definitely return again and again!
My husband and I just returned from Lelli's for our anniversary dinner. When we entered we were greeted by several of the wait staff arguing in the lobby. As we were seated the wait staff walked in front of us several times making it impossible to pass. This happened again on the way to and from the restrooms. Our waiter was polite but nothing exceptional. It appeared his remarks about the exceptional food was routine.
The antipasto, salad and soup were OK. My husband's fillet and accompaniments were drenched in salt. The first two bites of my eggplant Parmesan was OK, and I reported that to our waiter Edward when he came by to check on us. However, further bites revealed an overpowering taste of bad oil. We did not see our waiter for 20 minutes so I could not complain until the bill arrived. The waiter apologized and said he checked with us so assumed everything was OK.
We asked to speak to the manager and Steve Lelli came over to the table. He apologized and we told him about the eggplant. Before we could tell him about the other waiters bickering and arguing, he said he would take the entree off the bill which he did. He gave the impression he wanted to get us out of there. The other owner, I believe, Karen, came to the table and introduced herself. She was more willing to listen to our experience and commented that she was aware of the wait staff not putting customers first. Appreciated her listening and she asked us to return another time.
We won't be back. The food was not worth the price and the service was offensive. Recommend Cafe Cortina for fine Italian dining.
