Wanda, the stylist is rude and extremely unprofessional! She opened the door like I was bothering her. I had to ask if she was the stylist, owner, or what. Her salon is cluttered and messy. Was sniffling the who 2 minutes, I was in there. Real hair professionals know how easy germs can be passed! And I asked can I bring my own products, she said "well you can just braid it yourself. That's just the type of person I am". It is good to know that you have a ridiculously nasty attitude before I let you touch my hair. Actually, I CAN just braid it myself, I just felt like pampering myself. NOT WITH WANDA from TRANSITIONS SALON! I can't believe she is still in business. I do not recommend her at all. You can do better, folks!
Nice place for your morning routine, coffee and chocolate, very cool atmosphere .Get your haircut at the best place and look your best for the rest of the month.
I am African American and I am very particular about my hair. I have kinky roots, no relaxer/perm and I was looking for someone who could give me straight hair/blowout without over pressing it or damaging it. The search is over Armina is truly the best hair stylist I've had!! She knows hair beyond what race you are. She accessed the damage in my hair and gave me options that would restore my hair. I wasn't in the salon long at all (less than an hour and a half). When she finished my hair was light and bouncy just the way that I wanted it. I have decided to make her my new permanent hair stylist. If you are tired of over pressing, staying in the salon for hours. Please please go to Armina you will love her as much as I do!
This salon was so wonderful 7 or so years ago when they opened. The staff was friendly and fun. Since then I had moved and wanted to come back to a place I trusted, so I visited them recently. I saw the top colorist/stylist (my previous hair stylist had moved elsewhere, GOOD FOR HER!!!! bad for me), which means extra cost. Not only did she work incessantly to sell me a bunch of unnecessary product, she insulted my intelligence by stating that their no-ammonia hair color was somehow better for your hair? Hair color is a science - if they are not using ammonia, there's another chemical in the formulation that is probably that is inferior, if not WORSE for your hair's integrity. Hair color has been more or less the same for 20+ years...for a reason. Its a marketing ploy to trick you in to thinking you are getting more for your money. I am a chemist and when I called her out on it, she fumbled all over her words and then finally said "you know too much". If that's not a reason not to go there, I dont know WHAT is. Go to a salon that uses tried-and-true products, not the Eufora garbage they use. Going to get your hair done should be about relaxing, feeling pampered and enjoying yourself. I felt hassled, ripped off, annoyed and wasn't even happy with my hair color result. Please don't waste your time/money like I did.
