I've been here several times now and I won't go anywhere else! I thought the staff was really helpful and compassionate. They made an effort to accomodate my erratic schedule on more than one occasion by letting me drop my pets off to be looked at sometime during the day instead of having to go for an appointment and instead of taking my money for an emergency visit, they explained that my cat probably needed overnight care and should start at the emergency clinic instead of paying for their visit and then again at the emergency place. Even better- In the five years I've had my bunny, she's been seen by three different vets for her urine problems. She's been on all kinds of medications, but the problem kept coming back. Dr. Chase and his staff were the first people who seemed like they knew about bunnies and told me that my problem was the diet I was feeding her! I could have fixed this problem years ago by just changing her veggies! I'm so glad I found Dr. Chase!!

Overall
RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! No compassion!

NEVER go to advanced veterinay care. The staff seems miserable and is unprofessional and rude! It seems to be getting worse and worse each time I go! The 1st visit was nice. 2 very nice gals were at the front counter, one of them was very friendly and seemed to really care about me and my pets! Unfortunately, I don't see her ther anymore. The 3rd and LAST vist I was NOT greeted upon my arrival and 2 of the most rude people I have ever met( a LARGE blonde with glasses who was worse than miserable and rude and a LARGE dark haired lady with glasses who seemed even more miserable than the 1st one!) were at the front desk, they were supposed to be "greeting" people but talked among themselves and ignored not only me but my pet!

I also want to warn you of one of the Dr's there. She is a young blonde with yet another disgusting, rude, arrogant personality with no bed-side manner. She made me feel like I was harming my animal.

I don't know what kind of business they are running there, but they better think about re-staffing! No one is going to want to go back there and spend the kind of $$$ they charge, so the DISGUSTING, RUDE employees can just keep treating the clients badly!

Word of mouth is spreading and I am hearing more and more about the lack of customer service, and the $$$$ they charge for a 5 MINUTE appointment.

The economy is bad, and people are really watching where their $ is going. Clients want a safe, FRIENDLY vet practice to bring their animals.

A word of advice: You NEED to look HARD at your staff, maybe you really don't realize just how rude they are. You are losing clients left and right because of their bad attitudes. Word is getting out and spreading about just how bad the employees are there. When you realize the lack of customer service and down right rudeness, you might want to consider hiring NICE, compassionate people! Or the business will just stop coming.

It is very unfortunate, the practice is beautiful and Dr Chace is good, but the staff just is horrible!.

Ask HOW MUCH first!!

I switched to Advanced because my former vet was more than a half hour drive, not bad with my dog....but my cat hated it. I thought they were okay, but after my last visit with them I have changed my mind. I went in because my dog had an ear infection and the visit ended up costing me $285! They charged me $10 for a small bottle of saline, which is essentially salt water. $54 for a comprehensive exam which took less than 5 minutes, miscellaneous fees for other things, and the antibiotic was $96!!!! I was in shock and looked up the antibiotic online (same med and same mg) and found that they marked it up over 50% compared to the online pet medication websites $47.70. That is a rip off. My other vet's office never had a huge mark up on things and I think the quality of care there was much better. Trust me you can do much better and not be ripped off too. I'm switching back to my old vet.

Overall
Excellent service

I looked for a vet for my dogs, cats and birds for a long time. It was hard to find a vet that would see birds and I wasn't always happy with my experience. Dr. Chace and his staff are friendly and knowledgable and spent time with me discussing my questions and concerns. After a few visits I know all of the girls there and they recognize me and my dogs when we come in. On my first visit they gave me a tour of their hospital with no prior notice and the place was beautiful. Even my "bad dog" behaved himself on his visit. The staff went slowly with him and he didn't need a muzzle for the first time ever, I couldn't believe it! I am really happy with AVC and I would recommend it to anyone!
