Purchased refrigerator...GE...thing sounds like a vehicle idling in our kitchen. Our home is small and the kitchen wall is close to our bedroom. We went back after it ran a few hours and they let us hear the one on the showroom floor. SAME SOUND! Salesman said, "This is much quieter than the one we have and we learned to live with it!!" So, we left. Will be calling this a.m. to have this piece of junk removed from our home. Attorney General's office will be involved if they do not refund our money. We have had the frig. less than 24 hours.
Just a few words about the great customer service at Major Appliance. Several weeks ago my wife and I purchased a Best double reclining love seat at the store. It looked (and felt) great in our living room. However, I noticed the evening after delivery that the two halves weren't perfectly aligned when in the fully upright position. A knowledgeable technician came to the house, but was unable to eliminate the discrepancy. Major cheerfully exchanged the defective unit for one that was assembled properly. All of this - two deliveries and one service call - took place within one calendar week. Kudos to Darrin and Julio!
