Let's start of with how old the apartments are from the inside might look new but have hundreds of mices! 2nd the landlord Denise is not a likeable person when I came and applied for the apartments they welcomed me very nicely and treated me like royalty! Then she turned it around and is a complete devil! I don't like here most of the neighbors agree that that landlord is not a likable person! I hate her! They have so many rules! Very strict rules it's like ur paying rent and u can't even enjoy because of how strict it is! If u also have visitors they have to go and get a parking pass from the lady that's always sleeping! And to find a parking space outside out of the parking lot it's impossilbe! I hated living here! And regret it! Landlord is a devil! i know lots of people that moved out because of her!
Why I leaving this review? You know what is like living at Carlyn Hill. When I signed up for the lease, the management attitude was positive however the management attitude changed to an 90 degree after we moved to one of their re-modeled apartments. If you are leasing an apartment that has a carpet, PLEASE READ THE LEASE carefully, according to the management, the carpet MUST be professionally washed ( not simply clean). They deducted 180 dollars from my security deposit for not asking a professional company to clean the carpet. They never explained this policy when I signed up the lease with them. In addition, they said, the carpet was retract and charged me 250 dollars for that even though she has walked through the apartment before handing over the keys to her. She did not mentioned the sign of retracting the carpet when she did the final walk through with me. Their apartments are OLD and specially their kitchen cabinets does not meet minimum criteria to stock your kitchen belongings. There are other issues with the management team explained in other reviews, please read them. They all are correct according to my best knowledge. They will MAKE every effort to deduct money out of your security deposit. In overall, this place is live-able with constrains explained above. My recommendation is to stay away from this place as much as you can or if possible.
Simply the worst ever!!! Cockroaches, Bugs, gangsters, vehicle very vulnerable to get towed, Noisy, awkwardly very poor service, abusive stuffs and very unsafe, ... uffff...
Don't make the same mistake I did. This place seems like a good value on the surface, but the management will make living here miserable. If I could afford to break my lease and move out tomorrow, I would. That's how most of the tenants feel, and you can see it in the occupancy rates -- for spacious under-priced apartments in a great school district -- this place has an eerily high vacancy rate. It's all because of the apartment manager Denise, nobody can stand living with her. Those who can move out of the complex DO (as soon as they can!) except for a crazy cat lady who seems to have lived here since the beginning of time. BTW -- you have to talk to the crazy cat lady if you want a parking pass for anyone to stop by for even a second or they will tow the car (there is plenty of parking, this is just an exercise in tyranny), and she will never answer her phone or give you one. If you have friends, just go to their place, it's easier. Otherwise you can stop by the office to get a pass during business hours, but your friend has to be present to sign for it and present their drivers license and insurance for photocopying (available 9-5 only when every normal person is at work). Every little thing is like that with this lady -- she is on some sort of crazy power trip and freaks out over the smallest things. I've never seen her ask for the simplest thing with courtesy and tact, it's always a production. Unless you love coming home to drama, look somewhere else.
1 star for friendliness and communication. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Rude, snobby, disorganized.Viewing time was at 5:30pmWe got there at 5:35pm and the leasing office was locked with the lights off (leasing office closes at 6pm)Waited outside the doors for 10 minutes until a lady walked into view from another entrance inside the locked office. She ignored us until we pulled on the door to get her attention. She motioned us to the left; there was a separate door about 15 ft away that looked like it was employees only. (closed off, no windows, looks private)It's now 5:45pmWe knew they closed at 6pm and we were now 15 minutes late so we tried to hurry. Said we were here for our 530pm appointment to view an apartment. She responded really snobby, "ACTUALLY, your appointment was at 5pm" and walked away from us, looked like she was trying to point out she was too busy because we were late (even though we were locked outside the office for 10mins)We nicely told her that she'd emailed us with a 5:30pm viewing time, but either way we are late and we'd like to view an apartment. The lady was short AGAIN with us and said, "What I'M going to do is write down your information and then reschedule your appointment for another day".I was kind of blown away.. and lost my interest with Munson because of this lady!! I do not want to live in such a hostile environment. I don't care if you hate your job, but don't take it out on us.Plus, we still had 15 minutes? We viewed the Roosevelt in less than 20 mins and we saw the apartment & amenities; we just wanted Munson to show us an apartment, that's it! What would that take - MAYBE 5-10 minutes?? We saw/read everything online and were ready to sign a lease if the apartment looked great.I said "well, can we just see an apartment really quick?" (trying to point out we don't need to see the amenities). A few seconds of hesitant, then she said "well I have an appointment and I need to take down all your information...aaaand....." And then I cut her off and was thinking are you serious?? I walked out and said "It's ok, sorry to inconvenience YOU"We immediately left and sent her our confirmation email for 5:30pm along with:"In addition, we showed up at 5:35pm (yes, a couple minutes late, our apologies) but your leasing office was locked and the lights were off. So we just waited outside the leasing office door waiting for you.I suggest you work on your communication for locked doors and viewing times."This should have just been an miscommunication on her end, but she seemed PROUD to be rude to us - like we were idiots. They are miserable employees who will make you miserable if you live there; don't do it!
