I do my own repairs but I do like to shop around at local shops for gear since I can try it on and all that.
Anyway, I always deal with Mike at the parts counter. Mike is the man. Super friendly, funny, great attitude, and very knowledgeable and helpful about my gear options. He's ordered gear for me more than once and has always followed through in a timely manner. One of the best sales dudes I've dealt with.
I've also interacted with a few other employees at this store and everyone seems to be friendly and helpful.
I heard they have gone through some changes in the past year, so I'd recommend giving them a try.
I recently purchased a vstar (not from Yamaha sports plaza) and took it in for service. Everything went smooth and done exactly how I wanted it. Every time I call, someone answers promptly and directs me where I need to go. I have been helped by the parts department with some basic accessories which they were helpful and friendy. Reception/cashier, parts, and service has been 5 star quality. I have not had any experience with purchasing a bike here and do not consider this a sales review. Hope this helps! I had a great experience at Yamaha Sports Plaza. I bought a 2011 Star Raider with zero miles on it. They gave me a VERY fair price! I did 2 weeks of research and they gave me a great deal. They also took care of the financing and it was a simple, painless process. It was also quite quick as well! I was going to buy at Sublimity but they did the ol' bait and switch on me. So I went to Yamaha Sports Plaza and they were great. No hassle, cool people, and I rode out on the best bike I've ever owned, the Yamaha Star Raider! I love it. Big Mike and Tai in the parts department are friendly and quick. Steve is down to earth and knowledgable in the service department and Ed and Dan are cool guys and they really took care of me from start to finish. Barb is always sweet to me as well. I've even become friends with the guys since then and they know me by name when I walk in. I always get a warm welcome. I decided to go the extra mile because I had such a good experience. I put together a youtube video review that will be up soon. Thanks guys! I have the exact opposite of buyers remorse; every day that goes by, I'm more glad I bought it. Ride on!
ive been doing business with them for 3 years never had a problem lots of internet orders from them also nothing but good customer service never over charge the best prices in town thay are independent dealer not owned by car dealership great people all my friends go there also after trying other dealers in area the best place to buy a bike or parts you wont be disapointed
I LOVE THIS STORE! After shopping the web for new sliders for my new sports bike, I found YSP to have the absolute lowest price. I ordered 'em, and they arrived amazingly fast. Then when I was visiting family in Portland, I stopped in to order a gel seat and windscreen. It was a Saturday morning, and although they were busy, Ty took the time to answer my questions, and I had many. While I was viewing the different options in catalogs, he helped others, but he consistently thanked me for my patience. That's good customer service. With his help, I ordered the accessories I wanted at the best prices out there. Rec'd a message from him about a week later saying the windscreen was on backorder, but the seat was shipped, and it arrived yesterday. He also noted the estimated ship date on the windscreen. Again, that's good customer service. I will definitely buy from them again. I'd rather save money than time, so a delay in delivery due to something outside the control of YSP is not a big deal to me.
I've been dealing with Yamaha Sports Plaza on line since dec."09.I thought I'd save some money after years of buying parts & accessories at about full retail at my local dealer.YSP online has the best prices in the country.I recently purchased a complete tall windshield & some mounts for my Raider m/c.I got an order number right away & tracking info the next day from UPS.In a couple it came in great shape.Like in past,I could see they took the extra time to pack my stuff properly.The times I've called the dealership the people I talked to were courteous & able to answer my questions.The Parts & Shipping Dept. are top notch.
Just appreciate the time and knowledge of these employees. They take the time to know us. What we ride, how we ride it and what's best for our type of rides. Soo worth the time to take to talk to them. Mike, you are the man! He knows all!! Best person at the parts counter! Most knowledgeable person! Everyone is so nice and friendly! So happy to finally ride with my new double bubble (higher apex) windscreen! So initially, I tried to R&R it using the old widescreen well nuts (rubber grommets that expand with screws). They wouldn't go in, even after greasing them up a little. Called Yamaha Sports Plaza parts department and asked if most people simply replace them when they install a new screen. Parts consulted a service tech who said that they are usually replaced since they hold their shape after being installed and kept on for so long. Very helpful folks!
After hitting a cow I needed a new right saddlebag for my FJR1300. I searched on-line and found that these guys had the best price and they were local to my area. The web site said to get that price I had to order on-line, fair enough. But because they were local I decided to drive out there and check out the shop. I got chatting with the parts guy about why I stopped in, and told him about the cow. We talked for a while and I got ready to leave. He asked if I wanted to order the bag while I was there. I told him I knew the rules and would order it on-line when I got home. He said, "No problem, I'll give you the on-line price." He looked up availability, found they only had some on the east coast and it would be a couple of weeks. No problem. I got an email about 10 days later saying the part was in and ready for pick-up. I headed over there, the part was ready, they were friendly, helpful, and courteous every step of the way, and great prices to boot.
I have always found what I need here and they are very conveniently located, I am thrilled that this shop started carrying our Dirty Gurl Clothing brand last week and I am eager to see how it sells! paid off two of my bikes and the bank sent me one title. Called down there to figure out where the other title had went. They got back to me same day and had my title in hand waiting for me. Customer service is exceptional and staff is extremely nice and helpful. Have been buying bikes here since 2006 and will continue to do so. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for bikes/parts
These guys are the best, I have been ordering a variety of parts from them for about a year now. I had to purchase an OEM shock relay arm that required bearings, but I wasn't able to press the bearings in myself. I shipped the relay arm back to them and they pressed the bearings in for me. They were personable and very helpful, I'll definitely order all my OEM parts from these guys.
it is hard to find a good service department to take your ATV's in to but I have done just that now. I had my Yamaha big bear serviced here and all work was done prompt and reasonably priced. Dean is was honest and upfront about pricing and time to complete the repair. Since then I have now purchased a new Yamaha Viking side by side and they will be the only shop to touch it.
