Fairmont Federal Credit Union

Was laid up from work for 3 months. Absolutely no compassion for not having a normal income. They started sending letters of default and threatening foreclosure. All they could say was pay your payments on time or get a loan elsewhere. The payments were being made, just a little late. No consideration at all. Very rude and my favorite part was how one person would tell u its ok we'll work with u while the next person sends out threatening letters. Terrible institution, will be financing elsewhere and will let everyone at the company I work for which is about 15000 people know exactly what they've put us thru.

Impossible to talk with a live person... very frustrated at the banking system!!!

Don't go to Fairmont Federal Credit Union. It's the worst financial institution I've ever come across. They claim they have online banking but it is ALWAYS down or having some kind of difficulties. If you are planning on having your money transferred to another account you can't because their site will be down. When you call in to get verified even if you answer all question correct they say that they don't feel comfortable helping you. Also, don't go here if you plan to travel. With their Visa check card they cannot be used outside the immediate area if it's over $100. Anything over gets blocked even if you let them know you are traveling first. Like I said horrible. Find anything else and it's bound to be better than this place.
