MarChuk Construction Company Inc has completed several projects at Fort Myer. Our most recent project was repairs to a historic porch on the Garrison Commander Building. Work included demolition of the existing porch deck and frame, excavation of the entire perimeter of the building, waterproofing the foundation wall, backfilling, landscaping, new structural framing, new tongue and groove wood decking to match the existing, and painting.

After graduating from Slippery Rock University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology, Mr. Sanata joined a Washington, DC based company specializing in construction services. He worked his way up the corporate chain to reach Vice President and Chief Estimator. After 15 years, Mr. Sanata was prepared to open his own company.
Demolition
MarChuk Construction Company Inc was the general contractor at the Electrical Switch Station upgrade project at Walter Reed. The project upgraded the central heating plant that provided heat for the entire military facility. MarChuk's work included demolition of the existing heating plant facility and its replacement in kind. Work included new utilities, new structural footers with associated slab on grade, walls and steel roofing. MarChuk also provided complete upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems as well as all required finishes.

MarChuk Construction Company Inc's work on the Pentagon began with the Phoenix Project which repaired the damage caused by the 9/11 attacks. We have continued sequentially on multiple task orders including slate roof repairs, built up roof repairs, concrete deck repairs, installation and repair of the new and existing catwalk system. All work on the pentagon requires security clearance for all crew members and consideration of employees in occupied spaces.

The Gallery remained an occupied building during much of our work which presents challenges vacant buildings do not. Among our projects are The Security Command Center, Work Area 2, the Service Ramp Entrance, the Bronze Storage where artifacts are stored, millwork modifications for the XIO, EB-720 Casework, Seating for the theater in the East Building, a new guardhouse structure, the 7th Street Entrance Bathrooms, miscellaneous electrical work, numerous projects to upgrade existing facilities to meet ADA requirements, and office renovations in the SG Office, CLA-70, and CLA-49. Security Clearances are required for all workers entering non-public areas of the Gallery.
