This company deserves less than a one star!! I have a problem and have tried for 4 days and they could care less. Others in our building are disgusted with the service. Why doesn't the board do something with it. They finally said they were too busy. I could have easily found someone else.Cut the BOARD!!! STAR OVER!!!
I wish there was a 0 Star option. I've spoken with numerous property managers at Cardinal Management Group and they have been very rude and have horrible phone etiquette. If you are not happy with your jobs, you should honestly find a job that does make you happy. You shouldn't make other people who are doing their job feel crappy after getting off the phone with you.

My experience as a tenant in a WJD property was very good. The people in the office are always nice and professional. Quick response to maintenance requests (even during a winter storm one time), straight forward payment system on line. I had a 1-year lease along with a group of 3 other people. When we moved out of the house we did everything on the checklist they gave us. It was a little picky and we had to shop for specific kinds of light bulbs and stuff like that, but at the end of the day it was all pretty reasonable and normal. Anyway, we got our security deposit back sooner than expected, no issues.
As a current tenant, I would urge ANY future tenant to stay far, far away from this rental company. While they were super helpful with a change-of-tenant in the middle of our lease (my roommate got relocated in the military), they have made the move-out process excruciatingly painful. Once we let them know that we would be vacating the property at the end of the lease, they put my phone number available to the public **without my permission** and have ignored all calls and emails from me asking that they remove it. They also require specific companies to "clean" the house upon our leaving which we all know is a way for them to bag more money. I get that they're a property management company and their goal is to make money, but at what cost?
They were professional and courteous in all their dealings with us. I liked them a lot better than private landlords I've dealt with in the DC area.
If you're about to rent a property that is managed by WJD, RUN! If you are a property owner, find someone else to manage it for you. Property management may be their only business, but they are terrible at it.We were treated as delinquents from day one. We repeatedly got messages telling us our payments were late when we paid early. They didn't respond to half of our maintenance requests (two of which were put in by the owner). We even made sure to call them to get an "approved" cleaning service, and they still charged us for cleaning out of our security deposit.The service is worse than being treated poorly; you're basically ignored. Unless you complain, they go about treating everyone as if they are terrible tenants.
I am the managing partner of an LLC that owns eight rental properties which we have had with WJD for over 10 years. They have always been responsive, honest and dependable. The contractors they use are expensive however they fix things promptly and properly. As opposed to the morons from the other PM company we had working on these homes before we went with WJD. When we were shopping around for a PM company we discovered that they are one of the few ones that actually answer their phone which I really appreciate. And no matter who answers, they can help you with whatever it is that you want. They send our money electronically and I can always check our statements from their website whenever I like. I have nothing but good things to say about them.
