Great shop run by an honest, and good man. The other reviewers aren't speaking to the service of this shop. Years ago I brought an AR to have a hand guard mounted and Vince was extremely quick and charged a fair price for the small amount of labor he did. I've also brought in a broken 870 to be repaired and Vince walked me through the process of repairing the broken part as well as giving me a fair estimate on parts and labor beforehand.
Must ignorant business I have ever talked to. I called to see if they have a hand gun and price it. The guy who answered the phone told me they had it, but said they don't give prices over the phone. I told him I found it further away and was trying to find it some place closer. He asked how much I found it for and when I told him he called me a liar and hung up on me. I am going to buy it, then go there to show him my receipt. He lost business because even if he charged a little more I may have bought it there because it is closer to me. I will never buy anything there and I will be sure to spread the word.

I had a scope mounted on a revolver about 8 months ago. I gave him the scope mount to install. He did a good job but his prices are extravagant. When I picked up the gun he didn't give me the rear sight back, so I called and he said it will be here whenever I want it. I don;t know why he couldn't mail it, I would have paid instead of driving 60 miles to get it. When I told him what I was there for he said why didn't you just wait another year. I bought many things from him when he had a basement room for a shop. He'll never see me again.
hi in my opinion fayette gun shop is 1 of the best around i have purchased a few guns from vince and i have had a few guns repaired by him he has always treated me properly and taken verry good care of my guns and the guns i have purchased from him have always been exactly as he described them and priced fairley vince is a honest man who knows his guns and isnt out to rip anyone off i am sure i will be dealing with him more in the future...........josh
I took my gun in to have some sights installed. When I returned to pick it up, it had a 1/8" scratch on the barrel. The gun was in perfect condition when it was dropped it off. The gunsmith denied scratching the gun and said he had no knowledge of how it came to be scratched. Very poor service. Would NOT recommend.
