I was actually expecting a deli type place with just sandwiches but not only did they have sandwiches, they had alot of good ol' home cooking. Meat loaf, fried pork chops, baked fish, fried steak, poot pie, etc... all the elements of just great home cooking. Everything just looked great and y…

As a guy from Memphis where Porky's BBQ set the standard for pulled pork BBQ, Lyndon's, like Porky's, will make you hurt yourself. Since I live in Friendswood, I make special trips to Lyndon's just to purchase their sauce to make my own pulled pork loin. Excellent

My favorite seafood place and Michilada's. I crave this place every week just for the freshness and flavor. My best dish to order is the Steamed Garlic Tilipia with white rice and a salad which they serve with a lime and slice of jicama. The faces of the staff are mostly always new, there are…

I have a golden rule when trying out a new noodle house. If a)a person of Vietnamese decent did not bring you to the noodle house or b)if there are no people of Vietnamese decent in the restaurant, you might want to find another noodle house to frequent. For me, both a and b were the case, so I …

If you are going to this place for lunch, you should go early because seats fill up quickly. It is a little bit confusing the first time you go so I will go ahead help break it down for you. First, you pick up an order card from the start of the line. You then select a type of noodle or rice tha…

Glad someone thought they were great becuz today they were about 2" long and 1" wide and dry as leather. These guys should be ashamed to even serve anything that looked like this. Sad and pathetic! Not going back! Wish I could paste the photo but I can't. STAY AWAY.
I dipped into this place on a day that I was late for work on a whim. I decided to reward myself before getting chewed out by my boss by ordering a few items so that I could gauge the quality of the store I was visiting. What started off as just a scone, quickly evolved into a sandwich and a sou…
I was at this particular IHOP off 290 one Wednesday NIght and ordered the Big Steak Omlette. I'm chewing and all I hear is this really loud crunching sound. As I continue to chew, something's not feeling right so I spew out the food and there, in my hand, was a piece of a porcelain plate (not mi…

Took over 20 minutes to get our drinks. Less then 2 dozen customers, so they weren't busy. Another 20 minutes or so to get food. One of the kids' orders was scorching hot, the other was warm, and they had the same thing. Not our first poor experience here, but they were busy the last time.

11-11-09 was our first experience at La Cantina on I-10. The building looks appealing. The inside (including ladies room) was very clean!!!! The atmosphere was pleasant. The employees were kind and timely. Our food came out in a timely manner and was HOT. : ) I got the La Tapatia with a side of guacamole and my husband got the Cowboy. The chips were warm and crisp. The salsa was not too hot (with pepper) - I was sooooo pleased that I could eat it. The flavor of both salsas was AWESOME! I make my own salsa and their red sauce was very close to mine. Two thumbs up on the salsas!!!! The meals were DELICIOUS! Everything was seasoned to perfection. Even the lettuce and tomato tasted like lettuce and tomato and not unripe tasteless veggies. AND the guacamole was not overtaken by the taste of lime. I hate when all you taste is lime and no avocado. It is reasonably priced and we both were busting at the seams. We even brought some home. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE!!! If they have gift cards I hope to get one in my Christmas stocking from Santa!
Catherine’s latest venture, Café Brussels is a great new addition to the Heights. Try the Tartare de Saumon dressed with a zesty Belgian country vinaigrette accompanied by a Belgian draft beer or glass (bottle!) of wine. You can’t go wrong requesting Catherine’s favorite mussel dish for a main course, Belgian classic, Moules Marinières, accompanied by a large serving of golden Belgian Fries. The large and succulent mussels are steamed to perfection and portion sizes are very generous! My dining companion enjoyed le Petit Pavé de Bruxelles, a perfectly cooked steak and le Cordon Bleu. Be sure to leave room for one of Café Brussels fabulous desserts! Catherine's crepes are among my favorites. Catherine Duwaz is both a good friend and a genuinely nice person. It brings me great pleasure to see a friend continue to succeed in a town that can be unforgiving to restaurateurs. Cafe Brussels is our new "go-to" place in Houston for great Belgian food. And to top it all off, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and the portions sizes are generous.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. We have frequented a lot of Mexican food restaurants, and who hasn't when you live in Texas. But Tierra Luna Grill is by far the best I have ever been to. The flavor of the salsa is awesome. Evidently they grill the tomatoes for the salsa and who knows how they spice it up. The chips are warm and thin and crispy. They give you a small bowl of queso with the chips. I could dine on the chips and stuff alone. They were soooo good. And the waitstaff is terrific at keeping the bowls full and making their customers happy. The owner even came by and visited with us. She was wonderful. And then there are the entrees. All I can say is 'WOW!' They were marvelous. The Carnitas, Fajitas, and the Barbacoa are to die for. Perfectly cooked and spiced to enhance the flavor, not overpower it. The charro beans and spanish rice where super as well. Fantastic homecooked Mexican food and the waitstaff is great. We very highly recommend the Tierra Luna Grill.
We decided on the Villagio & couldn't be happier! The venue is clean, spacious, and simply elegant. We had our ceremony and reception here. Trish, owner & overall planner, is prompt, thorough, charismatic and easy to work with. The venue is tucked away at the end of a street, with private parking & far from the street. There are inside/outside room options, but the trademark is a beautiful spiral staircase for a grand bridal entrance! The package we chose was the Ultimate II. This package comes with everything except the DJ and videographer so we didn’t have to worry about hiring various vendors for each part of our wedding. Trish already has a strong vendor selection. Our package came with food, cake, linens, floral arrangements, photo booth, lighting, photography, 2 HPD officers, and a wedding coordinator. We paid extra for drapery and it was beautiful. The caterers allowed us to test the food in a prior meeting so we can give them very specific details. Mr. & Mrs. King 08/12/2016
First off, this place is beautiful inside. ( N Gessner @ Kempwood) For a strip center Thai restaurant, you walk into another world once inside. The staff is friendly and helpful, and our dining companions appreciated the explanations before ordering. Starting with the soups, we've had the Tom Kha and Tom Yum; both are excellent, with the former the best we've ever had. Hot and sour is on deck for our next visit. The lettuce wrap is a delicious appetizer, with the incredible sauce used with the minced chicken and veggies a special treat. The menu is helpful, offering 6 different heat (spicy) levels, as well as little icons next to each dish naming its country of origin. It's another great dining experience in Spring Branch, and we can't wait ti return. Pad Thai and Green Curry are the meals we can't quite get past as they are so well prepared. Portions are generous, making perfect lunches the next day.
Wow!! What a great find! Haven't found a quality restaurant like this for a long time. The food is very fresh with a crispness in flavors. The menu offered variety but nothing is everyday about this food. I loved the shrimp bisque soup with subtle flavors that were not overpowering. No taste of frozen shrimp here. The house salad was fresh with homemade dressings of choice(nice flavors). The delicous crab and shrimp stuffed trout fillet was perfectly cooked being moist and flaky. My husband ordered prime rib and has yet to stop bragging about the flavor and tenderness. The owner(chef) visits each table and chats with the customers. He is so personable and you feel as if you are a guest in his home. Service by the staff was excellent. Still can't believe the incredible service and food for such reasonable prices. Wish we lived closer to the restaurant.
This restaurant reopened since the end of Jan.2013 because of the ownership changes. Every dishes totally different with previous. Simple menu but fresh and delicious. Main menu : 15 kinds of fresh sushi roll(except raw fish) , Teriyaki, Homemade Dumpling, Fresh Salad and Daily Special with the unbeatable price. I am office lady has to work 5 days, so that do not have enough time cook for my family, when I been here at first time I had loved here, 'cause whatever I bought for my family, they ate all of them and even asked for next time order. Sushi roll, Teriyaki, Salad and Dumpling we tried all. Here is the best one I knew in Katy, yummy and health food with acceptable price, strongly recommend!! Promise if you try, and you couldn't forget it!!
My first introduction to Felix was in 1968 at their East End location, now gone. Friends later took me to their favorite place, Ninfa's, and it became a toss-up. Now that the family (not the corporate) Ninfa's is gone, there can be no question. If you can eat at only one Mexican restaurant, and you want simply the best there is, it's got to be Felix. About a year ago, they had planned to close and retire, and loyal customers begged them to stay. And we are so grateful. Chile rellenos are absolutely standout. Chili con queso and nachos are too. Salsa is unique and special. All of it measures way above the rest. I can't think of a close second. Make mine Felix.
All dishes are prepared right after being ordered, and served at the perfect timing.Szechwan Spicy Dumpling and Minced Chicken With Lettuce are the must-try appetizer,Mongolian Beef and Orange Beef are two signatured red meat entree,if you like seafood, the Seafood delights featuring with Alaska king crab meat, huge jumbo shrimp and sea scallop with fresh mixed vegies is the best choice. We had dinner over there almost once a week, never had average meals, they all are excellent!!!The service is quick and good, dinning room is clean and well decrorated.Highly recommand this place to all the Chinese food lovers! This Cajun & Creole Cafe is by far the most professional, hospitable and presistant cafe I have come to know. The food is excellent and the Chef and his wife are very kind at heart people. I enjoyed the La Red Beans, this plate comes with a Grilled Sausage Link and a square of their famous Strawberry Cornbread. The menu ranges from Shrimp PoBoys to Southern Fried Catfish and also N'Awlins Crawfish Etouffee. The taste is awesome, they said it's"Good Food for the Soul" This Cafe ,I will neer forget!
