Karen Adams DDS LLC

Dr. Adams was my dentist for four years in Fairbanks while I worked at FMH. She was a delight. Very professional and always accommodating to my work schedule. My teeth were embarrassingly a tough job, yet my visits were always relaxing and as painless as virtually possible. I highly recommend Dr. Adams to anyone in the Fairbanks area.

I haven't had any bad experiences at this office. The staff has all been nice and helpful to me. I don't think people shouldn't go somewhere because of the reviews. You should experience things for yourself. One person might have a bad experience there and someone else may have the best experience. Just depends on the service and the type of person you are.

This was the worst experience I have had in a really long time. I didn't have an issue with Adams, but had an issue with her dental asssistant. She was VERY rude, and made quite a few snide comments to me.



The location is in the back of a plaza of Riverstone way. The street sign is very hard to locate if you are on the opposite side of the road. I am military, and not from the area, so I used mapquest to try to find the office. When I drove past it, I called the office to ask for directions, and there was no answer. I then recieved a phone call a minute later from the assistant asking me where I was, (my appointment was at 2:30pm and I left 20 minutes earlier to get their on time. My map gave me an average time of 7 minutes to get to the location.) and I explained my situation stressing the fact that I was lost. She gave directions and I arrived at the location several minutes later.



When I walked into the office I began to fill out the paperwork, and she walked away from the front desk. She came back and when I tried to tell her who I was, she rudely said, "I know who you are, I was just on the phone with you." and then she told me (again with the rudeness) that there were 3 sheets of paperwork to fill out, left, and continued to say, "Were you aware of what time your appointment was?"



And with that I replied, "WELL aware" and continued to fill out my paperwork. I was wondering why she would ask that question considering the fact that she was JUST on the phone with me giving me directions.



While I was being examined, I mentioned that I wasn't used to having the mouth guard in my mouth for the xrays (noting the fact that it was a little uncomfortable) she replied, "It's better than some of the other things that are in your mouth."



That comment was among a few that were ridiculously made by her. I can deal with a bit of dry humor every now and again, but I CAN NOT deal with rudeness! I wish I was able to complain her boss, but her boss was standing right there while she was making these comments.



SO the best way I can think of to affect someone is affecting their pocket book. I believe in good customer service no matter what. I was no where near a rude, mean, or crazy patient and all I could ever want is respect if it is given. I didn't recieve it so I am complaining. If they would treat me this way, they will treat you the same way.



DO NOT GO HERE! Take heed of my warning. Unless you are a glutton for punishment- skip this practice completely and go somewhere else.
