Even though the service is usually below average they knew how to cook a steak. This last visit we waited 15 minutes for soft drinks and had to ask for bread, it took about 40 minutes to get our food on a Wednesday at 1:00pm and I ordered my steak medium well and received it well done, they took it back and about the time my husband finished his food I got mine. The steak again was overcooked and a little bit crunchy and tough. The didn't charge me for my meal (only my soft drink), I would rather have paid for a good meal.

My girl ordered a 10oz steak and I ordered an 18oz. When we got them they were the same size and overcooked.
Would love to give this place a better review but I can't. Very Slow food, not busy, slow waitress, not going back.
The location was great, right on the river. Service seemed to be great. Food was really good, someone there paid for me and my girlfriends dinner. Everything was awesome, however I only has 100 dollar bills and asked the guy to give me change for it and asked for 20s. He came back with all kinds of different bills but I didn't think much about it. Left a 35$ tip. Got home and for no reason counted my money and turns out the guys shorted me about 30 something dollars. I didn't notice cause I was still so amazed that someone paid for my meal and didn't care. I would say he miscounted but you don't miscount that much. Never going back again.
They have a place that comes to work High ennui crack cocaine or crystal meth would you want your food delivered to you the somebody's under the influence of drugs would you want them to cook you food while they're under the influence of drugs I know I don't I'm asking you when you read this review please avoid going to Texas Roadhouse in Evansville Indiana
The worse I have ever experienced.The food was cold and tasteless.The serves was horrible.The Manger seem to be unconcerned.Old Shyler's food was great! And the staff was on top of their game.I remember the salad had croutons and fresh veggies. If I wanted salad out of a bag I would have gone to Buy Low.The potatoe was old and cold. The pulled pork was dried and rubbery. The was no bread served all though we inquired twice. No straws, table wear, or drink refills. The wait was 45 minutes, then another 45 minutes for food to arrive.I ordered a pie to go, only to cut into it and be very disappointed. Its not fresh, my opinion it was a frozen pie that turned to mush. Sad to say Shyler's maybe gone forever. I won't waste my time or money to revisiting such a bad experience.
They are dishonest in labeling the portion sizes of some items they serve. I went 3 times in the last 6-8 weeks. Each time I ordered my favorite dish which is their grilled Salmon. The first time I ordered the 10 oz piece. It did not look 10 oz at all, and at the most would pass for 6 oz. I did not make any comments! It was cooked to my liking. The second time I intentionally ordered the 7 oz piece, and it came exactly the same size as the 10 oz I ordered the prior time!! I still did not complain. Ate it and added a generous tip for the waitress who was very nice and left. The third visit was 2 days ago and I decided to order the 10 oz again, however, I explained to the waitress what happened twice before and I asked her to communicate this with the kitchen. I still got the smaller portion. I called the waitress back and reminded her of my order. She fully agreed with me. I asked her to take it back and bring me what I ordered, but she couldn't as they don't have 10 oz pieces!!
I am (was) a regular customer of Texas Roadhouse. Last night, I attempted to place a carry out order starting at 8:48 pm. I can't imagine the restaurant was slammed near 9 pm. I was on hold (in queue) for 6 minutes. I then hung up and called back and tried the call ahead seating option thinking I might get through that way. After 1:45, someone picked up then hung up the phone, clearly not wanting to be bothered by a phone call. I called back 5 more times and spent a total of 26 minutes (not including the first 2 calls) continuing until 9:45 pm. At one point the phone was answered and I could hear a person talking in the background for a minute or more then the phone was hung up. I finally reached someone and, at this point I was rather mad (understandably). I asked to speak with a manager. I was placed on hold and no one ever returned. I will not return. I can only hope this is not indicative of all locations. They clearly have problems at this location. I have a phone log showing what I have explained and have offered that to the franchise. I’ll see if they’re interested enough to follow-up. I do not want any coupons or discount cards as I will not use them. I ended up going elsewhere which is what I will do in the future. I am a business owner & I know I wouldn't be in business long with service like this.
My family and I came to this steakhouse expecting a good steak and good service. Everything was cold, took 45 minutes, server was rude and to make matters worse, a manager.. ..short man with a hat, argued with my father about how "they", do things!?! I know that they were busy, but it was as if the manager took it out on us!! The server, smelled of horrible sweet perfume and had a loud voice. We spent about $169 and we will NEVER come back! ! It was a joke! I overheard by a cook while waiting for our table, that they make enough money off of 2 steaks to pay for all the ribeyes! We wanted mushrooms on our steaks and they charged us for smothered! 1.99!!! I don't usually get angry like this, but it was ridiculous! NEVER AGAIN
Best BBQ in town for sure. Service is fast and really great over all 100% satisfaction
