Overall

"We don't know what the problem is, we can't figure it out, we can't fix this."

That was literally was said to me in person the second time they "fixed" my car. Terrible service overall. I was literally lied to in person, face to face, on the cost of repair. They repaired a part which did not need to be fixed and charged a ridiculous amount to do it. They even went so far as to charge me for the tow price when it broke down on them during the test drive with their own mechanics. I can't even begin to describe how utterly incompetent this AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care location is.

Overall

I moved here from Southern California last year and last winter my car stopped working on the road. The owner happened to be on the road with his Aamco truck and safely got me off the road. He took great care of me and installed a battery and a new computer board into my car (I have a fifteen year old car, and I needed those things) and gave me a ride back to my residence. Months later, my shifter linkage broke. I went back to him and he did everything he could to try to fix it as cheaply as possible, trying numerous bushings to prevent me from having to replace the entire shifter cable part. He was unable to find a fit, and i know he felt badly for me about having to go the next step up, but I know he charged me as little as he could for having to do the repair he did. He worked within my budget and I know what he did for me was a Godsend and a huge favor. He didn't try and "milk" me or try and get me to get parts I didn't need. He stuck to the shifter cable situation only and in this day and age, finding someone who tries the cheapest solution first is a huge blessing.

One of his employees drove me home on one of my other repairs and I could tell that by what the employee was saying, this is a genuine person who really tries to help other people out.
