Yen ching is by far the best chinese food in Evansville! But don't let the food fool you, this is not a fine dining experience! In my 5 years of living in evansville I have eaten at yen ching hundreds of times, and each time hoping to be treated better. The asian servers poor water too quickly, often spilling it on or around you. They don't greet you with a smile, but rather stare at your blankly, expecting you to know they want your drink order. And by the end of your meal, you could be waving your hands around & standing on your chair to get your check, and BELIEVE me, they will get to you when they WANT to get to you. If you are willing to put up with being treated like an intrusion, the food IS great thought. Kate
Best Chinese in town (well, along with Shing Lee). Yen Ching has Szechuan dishes, as well as Contonese and Mandarin. Service has never been too slow or unfriendly, and the food is always delicious. Best Ma Po Tofu I've had in years. The red and gold decor is fabulous, as is the stamped tin (?) ceiling and artwork. Order the potstickers--well worth the wait of 15 minutes it takes the kitchen to prepare them fresh. I've tried many entrees here and have never been disappointed. The lunch special prices are unbeatable. Dinner is just a little pricey than some Chinese restaurants, but the quality and portion sizes are well worth it.
Thank goodness we finally have a restaurant in Evansville that has something for everyone. Only one thing was missing. They needed lo mein noodles on the buffet. Other than that it was absolutely perfect. Even a vegetarian would be delightfully surprised. The Mongolian Bar was my favorite . Incredible! All of us agreed this restaurant will catch on big. Thank you so much for a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be regulars of this fantastic restaurant.
Out of all the Chinese restaurants in town, Chopstick House is my favorite. Dine-in or carry-out...I have never been disappointed. The staff has always been friendly to my family and myself. They always give my son a lollipop at each visit. The almond chicken with a side of steamed mixed together is amazing. Their food is also very affordable. I've never left disappointed.
Delicious! Very inexpensive! One of the best Chinese options in Tri-State. Buffet lovers, move on---thank God, the food is ALWAYS freshly made for you--- but the entrees are flavored and spiced to perfection. If you truly love Chinese food, from fried rices to orange beef, Golden Buddha is YOUR place for great, FRESHLY prepared Chinese food.
Our first trip to this fabulous restaurant made me understand why local people call it a gem. The menu offered a variety of flavors and creative Southern dishes, the service was top notch, the presentation of the food was elegant and my wife and I finished the night off with great cocktails and some nice, live jazz. 5 stars!
We've eatten at Yen Cheng for over 10 years and have always been treated wonderfully. The food is fantastic and the service is top notch. We get take-out on a regular basis and have never been disappointed withe food or service. Portions are healthy and reasonably priced. Top Chinese in Evansville by far in my opinion.
We frequently order from China Garden their carryout is prepared as ordered. It is usually ready in 10 to 15 minutes the quality is top of the line and the dishes are flavorful and tasty. The portions are generous and filling. Many times we choose carryout from China Garden over going out to an Oriental Buffet.
China Garden on Main Street is awesome. 2 huge dinners for less than $16, will feed my family twice! The food was so good, the general tsao's is super spicy and delicious. (some places make it sweet! yuck!) I will be going back!! Carry out was ready in half the time they gave me... only 10 minutes!
