Shawn P. Hammond and Associates

I came to this firm for a divorce. My husband is in the military and was telling me that if I left him I would not receive any support and would not get any of his benefits. At our first meeting, Mr. Hammond explained to me what he calls the typical divorce process and how I can get immediate support. I received a check for support the next day from my husband. He also explained what I should receive from my divorce and it was a lot more that I was expecting. My divorce is finalized now and the Judge ordered exactly what Mr. Hammond said he would. I highly recommend this office for their excellent service.

I'm SHOCKED this crappy attorney gets 4 1/2 stars!! Almost as shocked as when I arrived in court for my "well prepared" slam dunker to find out MY attorney filed the wrong paperwork! Long story short I was slapped into an arbitrary agreement that "can be changed anytime" according to MY attorney. I l later found out, It WAS A FINAL order!! I would've been better off heading to court without an attorney! I got SCREWED AND IT'S IRREVERSIBLE!!! Lawyers like this are the reason many people can;t trust the government/legal system! Karma will get this one too, I know!!!

I hired Mr. Hammond to handle my divorce. He did an excellent job.

Mr. Hammond is a very assertive and knowledgeable attorney. He represented me in a military divorce matter in Augusta, Georgia. During the case I was impressed that both the Judge and the other lawyer were asking his advice on how military matters work. He really protected my rights beyond what I had expected and the case settled almost exactly like he had predicted at our first meeting. I was very pleased with Mr. Hammond’s efforts to communicate with me and how he answered all of my questions. Additionally, I was very pleased with his office and his staff. They were kind, responsive and professional. However, what I liked most about Mr. Hammond were the efforts he made to make sure that I understood the process and knew what was happening and why. It was a real comfort having him on my side.

Attorney spent more time talking about his accomplishments than doing any action. Did a history search and discovered that ATtorney is not actually welcome to defend at the Protective Centers due to his own history of domestic violence. Women beware, this attorney only defends the men
