Overall, I have a pleasant experience there, however one time I was harassed by undercover security for bringing my own recyclable grocery bags into the store, they searched through all of these empty recyclable bags and it was rather embarrassing but besides that they're usually great
Beware of Costco security. I went to get my membership card today and there was a man who appeared to be waiting in line also. I politely asked him if he was and he said no. I got my card and walked over to the food court to make a purchase. Then the man walked up to me and got in my face as in my personal space and started asking me questions that were totally out of line. He asked me if I was with the woman behind me and if I was here on a pass etc. I was very uncomfortable because he did not identify himself and no uniform etc. I asked him if he needed to see my membership card and if he had any more questions for me after telling that I just got my card and now I am buying something to eat. He said yes to seeing the card and said thank you with an attitude again no explanation nothing. I have been a Costco customer for years and have never had to explain myself or been harassed at the food court. The woman behind me was of another race and she was asked the same questions without attitude. The security man never explained himself or what I did to make him feel the need to question me so inquiring minds want to know why? If it was not about race then what my weight?
I have to tell you the parking situation is dreadful. They need to have designated in rows and out rows.. The store is great but getting in and out makes me angry every time I have to go there.. We spend $300-400 per month on our food needs and to face the driving and parking situation I think I will find a different place with easier access to do my shopping. They do not have anything there that I cannot find somewhere else without the aggravation.
