Very responsive to an emergency call we had late afternoon on Friday, 1/6/2017. We had 2 lines down in our backyard. One had caught fire and was burning a tree. The present weather conditions were rain, ice, and very windy. The line popped and blew out power to our home right before they arrived, the fire self extinguished. We have a whole home gas powered generator that had kicked on so myself and my husband told Cleco we would rather them wait to fix it when weather conditions improved because we had the generator and didn't want them comprising their safety with all the current weather situations occurring. The very friendly and professional Cleco employee then promised us that as soon as the weather lifted that he and all needed crews would be back to fix it and clear trees so they could rerun the lines. At a little after 7am on Saturday morning on 1/7/2017 with a temp of 21° all crews were back here cutting trees back and re-running lines. It was a pretty big job due to where our house backs up to woods. However, they all worked together flawlessly and together as one huge team. They had everything done and our power restored in less than 2 hours this morning. These very dedicated, hardworking men NEVER get the proper thanks for the extremely dangerous jobs they perform in all types of weather and even on holidays. We didn't get their names, although we should have to be able to give them the fine credit that each of them deserves. We were serviced in Eunice, Louisiana.
