Well, I really wanted to give this place a 5 star review but could not. First problem was the food - it was terrible. I ordered a shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was not fresh at all, in fact, I am 99% positive that it was precooked. It was dry, tasteless and rubbery - bummer. My husband ordered a fish dish. Wow was it salty and way over-spiced. They placed the salad in the same plate as the fish and beans, not good at all. The waitresses handed the plates directly to the customers rather than setting them on the table. The utensils were placed on the plate with the food rather than on a napkin on the table. There is no "Please Wait to be Seated" sign in the entryway, so the host/owner's first interaction with the customer is to place his hand up in a stopping motion and ask the customer to step back toward the entryway they came though and wait there. The reason I gave it 3 stars is the atmosphere - truly authentic. Live mariachi, soccer on the TVs, the waitresses are awesome. Very fun night! If the owner would get some really good cooks in this place and re-train the waitresses this place would be "the place to go" and not just the new place to try.
