Perusing Craigslist one day I had come across an ad placed by A.P.S. Staffing in Erie. The job was listed under Admin/Office.Among the "requirements" was high school diploma/G.E.D.Now my education level is well beyond a high school diploma, in fact I have a science degree. The job was listed as standard hours of 8-5 and days of M-F.My current job requires a Bachelor of Science degree. I work extremely odd hours and almost every single weekend and the pay is not that far off. I was more than willing to make a "trade" normal hours and days for a minor loss in money. I forwarded my resume to A.P.S. Staffing and followed up with a phone call to ensure they had received it and requested to speak to the recruiter who was handling the account. I was transferred to one Chalis M. Bayletts. She was very short with me on the phone and stated "well of you emailed it we got it" So I further explained I was doing a follow up call and met all the "minimum requirements" Again in her short nasty tone stated "we will review your resume and contact you further" and hung up the phone. An hour and a half following the follow up phone call I received an email from Charlise and as per the email it states "it doesn't look like you have the experience we are looking for" What?!?!!! the minimum education requirements are listed as high school diploma/G.E.D. Do you not think many of the other "requirements" such as "strong oral, written communication or monitor inventory, or resolve quality issues" that I do these things every hour of my shift? I run a microbiology lab and my title is "Quality Assurance" HELLO!!!!If I made it through college and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and run a microbiology lab it stands to reason I can with very little help figure this "stockroom clerk" job out!Apparently the staff at A.P.S. Staffing is in the business of two simple things:1. Being rude/ignorant to well qualified applicants2. Not generating the company money

My name is Tom Scanlon and I am the General Manager of APS Staffing in Erie. I can assure the two reviews listed here cannot possibly be our staff. Our staff is friendly and go out of their way to assist people every chance they get. Neither of the other 2 people who wrote reviews ever applied with our agency, so they cannot be talking about us. We often get confused with other agencies.
Girl at desThe girl at the desk is very rude and could care less about you
The worst staffing agency in all of erie the girls that work are just their to put in their hours of work and are not helpful at all.
