La Borimex Mexican Restaurant

This little restaurant is a best kept secret of Pa Dutch country! The food has always been great! The portions generous! I have ordered food for take out and it was prepared just before we arrived to pick it up, fresh and hot! I will definitely

What a contrast - across the street from a very Mennonite/Brethren run scratch and dent food store sits this very Latino restaurant.



The atmosphere is pretty neat as the 6 or 8 tables are practically in the store. When you eat here you are immersed in spanish culture for sure.



First, let me say that the food here is good. Plain and simple.



The problem with this restaurant lies with the details surrounding the food.



You will probably leave hungry. The portions are never enough even for a moderate eater. They really need to beef up how much they serve.



The service is a bit confused as well. The wait staff always seem to be an after thought - the waitresses are usually in jeans and street clothes and look like they just came from home or stocking the shelves. Every time I have eaten here there seems to be "flow" issues - the critical part of a dining experience that results from getting seated, having a server introduce herself, drinks, food delivery, checking up on the customer, etc.



It is almost as if the servers have received NO training on how to do their jobs.



So, serve me enough food to fill me up (I would rather have a $7.50 lunch special that does this than a $5 one thats does not), learn how to treat customers, make sure things are clean and tidy and this becomes great instead of the 'mediocre with potential' where it now stands.
