- Airport Mechanical Services, Inc was formed in January 1997, with Barry M. Nelson as VP of Field Operations, Spencer R. Nelson as VP of Base Operations, and Mary Anne Nelson as President & Office Manager. Our base of business is the service of Passenger Loading Bridges ( Jetways ), Industrial Doors and Aircraft Hangar Doors. We are currently licensed in the states of Washington, Alaska, Nevada and Kansas, and undertake contractual business for major airlines in those states. Since its inception, our business has expanded steadily each year, and has become a well known name in and around the mechanical servicing facilities of many US airports. In that time, the company has grown from having one airline client to six major airlines that now entrust us with servicing and repair to their jetways, hangar doors and other mechanical units. We have also added a major aerospace company and numerous Port and State authorities to our customer base.
