Springtails
Springtails are small and grey in color, and have a very unique means of travel. They "spring" with a fork-like tail which allows them to jump great distances. Many people see this jumping and confuse them with fleas. Springtails do not bite but can become nuisance pests during hot, dry summers as they migrate by the thousands looking for moisture sources.
Boxelder Bugs
Black and Red in color, they invade the south side of homes by the hundreds each spring and fall. Removing all Boxelder Trees is one solution to these pests, but very often impractical.
