Greedy money hungry people. literally make stuff up to get more money out of you. I had to do all the repairs to my home out of pocket and when I moved out not only did they refuse to give my deposit back they say I owe them 300 for DEBRI CLEAN UP. really. Literally saying I owe them 300 to pick up leaves and sticks. I have now gotten a lawyer these people will do anything to make a dollar. please read the reviews before making your decision. I would never ever rent from these people again and hope they go out of business. awful people.
FBM has been great! We've always had issues taken care of promptly and professionally. Melissa and the office staff are friendly and helpful and have been a joy to deal with. I would absolutely reccomend FBM properties to friends and appreciate their making our time in Texas a positive one!
We moved to Ennis last year. We moved into a rent house that was rented out by the owner of the home and she ended up selling it to FBM. We didn't have any problems until a time for us to move out. I tried to get ahold of them numerous times to find out some information about our move out. I would call every day leave a message because you can't get anyone to answer the phone. Nobody would ever called me back. I am still trying to get in touch with them about our deposit but still no one calls us back. I have gone by the office twice to talk with someone and the lady at the front desk never can answer any questions. She has me leave me name and number for some reason because no one ever calls me. It's beyond frustrating and I don't understand how a business can be run without communication with your clients.
We have used FBM Property Management for 3 years to manage our rental properties. Melissa has always been professional, courteous and very helpful. Any problems that have come up she has taken care of them immediately and has always kept us informed. Our dealings with Melissa/FBM has been very positive.
My family and I relocated to the Dallas area in February. We lived out of state, 700 miles away. Wanting a rural area without neighbors 8 feet from us, it was challenging to find a rental. We stumbled across FBM's website about a week before we were to come out for our home finding trip. We'd really liked a house they'd had listed, so I emailed them. Not only were they extremely patient in giving us directions (COMPLETELY unfamiliar with this area) but they were able to get us a tour of the house the day we got to town! The Ennis location even stayed late on a Friday evening just so we could get them the deposit, because we were heading back home that weekend. Melissa from the Corsicana branch has been extremely pleasant and helpful with our questions and concerns. One of the severe storms had caused a small roof leak during the recent floods. Melissa kept in touch with us, and even had their maintenance men BOAT across our extremely flooded (7'+ deep) road to take care of the problem. Also, I find their website and online payment options extremely user friendly and convenient!
FBM has been a professional company to lease from. Any maintenance issues that have come up have always been handled efficiently. Melissa and her team have been great to work with for the past two years.
I would never recommend FBM to anyone. We rented from them for a little over two years and had to move out a month and a half early because of the condition of the rental property. When we moved in, we immediately had to call an exterminator because we were having swarms of ants in every room of the house. They were in the bathtub, crawling all over the walls and in our beds. It was a nightmare. They told us it was our fault and they would only pay for a terminator once. The ants would go away during the winter but would come back immediately when the weather got warmer. We had to pay for a terminator to come out three times and finally got FBM to pay for it the fifth time, but nothing worked. When we were moving out we found out the ants were in the cheap siding on the house. The wood they used wasn't even made to be used for siding and the ants were so bad they almost couldn't replace the siding. Our stove was broken, and who knows how old, and when it broke they replaced the broken parts with even older and beat up parts. TheAa y wired the stove too wrong when fixing it and mismatched the burners. The dishwasher NEVER worked. Our electric panel caught fire because it was bad. Our AC was an old green unit and NEVER cooled correctly. We had to call on it countless times and they refused to replace it so we were spending an outrageous amount on our electricity bill to keep the house decently cool. We called the AC in and they sent the guy to put more coolant in it. It stopped cooling completely and they wouldn't replace it. We had NO air. We had to move out a month and a half early because with zero AC and ants infesting the entire house it was unlivable. We were still forced to pay an extra $50 in addition to our rent for a month to month because we told them the day after the 30 day mark and we couldn't even live there. To top it off our neighbors stole things from our yard and kept it in their backyard. CRAPPY, GREEDY, and LAZY people who work for FBM. Don't waste your money on these people. They're not worth your time or money.
I wouldn't recommend renting from FBM unless you have no other choice. Their apartments are of a poor quality at best when I first inspected my former apartment it seemed fine but when I moved in I noticed the dishwasher was broken and full of dead floating roaches on top of this one shower didn't work at all the fridge sporadically stopped working one toilet didn't work the entire time I lived there, when it was brought to their attention they would occasionally send someone out to repair these items the job was usually poor and only a temporary solution. The bottom Line is avoid this business if at all possible. P.S. the staff was completely rude on several occasions
FBM I would say this is unprofessional I ever have. DO NOT lease from them at all costs.
As a real estate professional, I would say avoid this company at all costs. This management company gives new meaning to "buyer beware", as they attempt to take advantage of uninformed renters. It also doesn't help that the staff is rude and unprofessional.
