I currently live in the Winchester West Apartments. I absolutely hate HATE HATE living here! To be perfectly honest the owner of these apartments should be embarrassed. The apartments themselves are in need of serious updating, they have a lot of maintenance issues. The staff is very lazy. I had the maintenance guy come and fix my sliding glass door. The handle has been replaced twice already because the wheels on the bottom don't roll or work. He said he was going to place an order for the wheels and replace them so the handle wouldn't break anymore. I haven't seen him since. Not to mention my refrigerator is leaking water, but I hate having to call the office to tell them I need maintenance. The two women who work in the office are so rude! I have talk to rude people on the phone and in person, but never like this! It's like talking to an annoyed teenager. They are never helpful. They also point blank lie to your face. In my opinion if you don't like your job then go somewhere else, I don't have the time or patience to deal with your nasty attitude! I am a stay at home mom of 3 girls. Now that brings me to my next issue. This is not a kid friendly apartment! I have a 6 year old and twin 3 year old girls. They only have a tennis court and a pool. The pool was closed for maintenance most the summer and my girls don't play tennis. BUT in the contract they have a rule stating that kids are not allowed to ride their bikes on the sidewalk. What should I let them ride them in the street! I would say parking lot but they probably have a rule against that too. Not to mention their crazy dog policies. I don't own an animal, but my parents have 2 miniature dachshund. Before they had puppies my parents came down to visit for about a week. They wanted us to pay $25 per dog per day for a pet sitting fee. We still had to take care of dogs, take them out and feed and water them. It's not like the apartment staff took care of the dogs for us. I called a dog boarding place, you know the place that cares for you dogs while you go out of town. They only charged $27 per day for BOTH dogs. As I said before the dogs had puppies. I understand that they have rules. But I have some serious medical issues and I just moved to Enid, Ok in March. I don't know anybody and we can't afford a babysitter. I called to explain the situation to one of the ladies in the office. She told me that the puppies weren't allowed at all no exceptions,so I asked to speak with the manager. I have to wait until the office manager comes in tomorrow to ask her! This place charges way too much and offers so little, it's constantly a fight and being told what we can or can't do. I hope that my husband and I can find a better place soon!
