I just recently went to Denver to visit my Daughter and while there the clutch on my vehicle started acting strange. We were at the club house of her apartment complex using the internet to try and find a mechanic when I asked a young man working there if he had one that he trusted. He told me their name and even gave me the phone number which he had stored in his cell phone.I called and Gary said he could get it in the next morning to see what was going on. I explained the situation to him and that I needed to get back to Arizona. I arrived there first thing in the morning and he took it right in and within a matter of minutes he diagnosed it as a Leaking Clutch Master Cylinder. He said the clutch would have to be replaced sooner or later (probably sooner) but He and the young man working with him did what they could do which was adjust it enough so I could get back home to my regular mechanic and he didn't charge me and arm and a leg.As with many of us we have that one mechanic that we trust and always go to. The same goes for me but now I have 2; 1 in Colorado and 1 at home in Arizona.I would like to thank Gary and his crew for helping a stranded tourist with honesty, fairness and empathy.You guys are top notch! Keep up the great work!
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE: Bought a vehicle from this place a few weeks ago, since we purchased the vehicle, we can't get a hold of anyone. I emailed the finance guy with a question we had, he never responded. We called several times and were transferred to voicemail 5 times, even after requesting to be transferred to a live person. When we finally did get a hold of someone regarding a question we had, he was rude and did not seem concerned because he was not working with us on the sale. We did not get a response until we drove 45 minutes back down to the location and showed up in person. I've emailed the regional manager, with no response. I expect more from a regional manager. The vehicle was supposedly detailed TWICE and still had soda pop, dirt on the console & dog hair all over the back seats, so bad that we had to get it professionally cleaned ourselves! Not cool. I feel like it was blue skies and fluffy clouds until you sign the paperwork. Once you sign the paperwork, you're just a worthless annoying customer. After being lied to, ignored, and mistreated, I'll never shop here again. We would've returned the car and eaten the $400 restocking fee if it wasnt the best choice out of the 5 in Colorado. Bad bad business ethics.
I have been a customer of Shep's for over 7 years now, and I have nothing but praise for them. They are affordable, honest, and timely with all of the repairs I've had done with them (quite a few over the years). In fact, I had moved up to Brighton a while back and STILL cannot find another mechanic I trust as much. One mechanic told me recently that my engine was shot and to say goodbye to my car (unless I wanted him to replace it), after much hand-wringing I decided to get another opinion from Shep's. Simple $40 repair. After this I will be making the trip no matter what. Jack (Shep) has even worked with my insurance claims persons to straighten out issues and they ALWAYS get me in quickly when I have an emergency.Besides being genuinely great and honest mechanics, they are genuinely great people as well. Bonnie (Jack's wife) is incredibly knowledgeable and can answer just about anything without going to ask Jack. This is awesomeness for me as I rarely need to wait for a call back. I very highly recommend these guys, they are family run and just as honest as they come if you are looking for a mechanic.
These guys just saved me over $!,000 on my ECM computer replacement! Here's what happened: My old mechanic charged me $90 to diagnose my hesitating transmission on my '93 Rav 4 Toyota, to tell me what I needed was a NEW Electronic Control Module computer (a 4" x 5" unit behind the glove compartment) And that the only place who could possibly do the job was the dishonest Toyota dealer (where I bought the car), for $1,500 parts and labor. Found out that these go out all the time on '93 models. I was ready to sell the car as-is!Then after many phone calls around town, I found Dave and Phil at Toy Auto Masters, who ordered a re-built ECM computer out of L.A. They had it shipped here, installed, programmed and tested it 3 days later, for a grand total of only $498, tax included! WOW - These guys are smart! Plus they made 2 free round trips to Lakewood to drop me off and pick me up.They also were honest enough to tell me that I did NOT need to replace my 2 x $300 front struts that make some noise. I would never take my Rav 4 anywhere else - - Goodbye old mechanic -- These guys are wonderful!
Greg has been terrific for me and my daughter-in-law. When her car broke down we had it towed to Greg's Garage. He took a look at it and gave us a price to fix it which was comparable to other shops. Since this was the 3rd time the same problem had happended we did not want to spend the money to fix it so Greg purchased the car. And gave her a free car inspection on the car she bought. I took my car in for several things. I had been to a garage when I was out of town to check a leak and a clunking noise in the rear end. I was told the transfer case was leaking and the transmission might be bad. When I returned home I called around and got prices from 4 shops for repairs. Then I went to Greg and he quoted me a price much, much lower. The transfer case was leaking but very minimally and the clunking noise was a loose spare tire!! Simple, quick fixes that saved me tons of money. I recommend checking him out.
Customer Service is paramount at Groove Ford. I never felt pressured in any way and was given the opportunity to simply walk around on my own until I needed help which was wonderful. Michael Shane in sales spent a ton of time with me and remained very patient throughout the entire process. He had a great sense of humor and made looking at a car fun. Even the Sales Manager, David Galbraith went above and beyond to make my buying experience enjoyable and helped answer all my questions and then some. I would highly recommend both of these gentlemen as they are a true credit to their field. If you want to avoid all the drudgery that can come from purchasing a new vehicle, get a great price and a fair trade, then Groove Ford is a must.
After researching vehicles for a few months on my own, I decided to go to 5280 Imports for some guidance. The staff able to quickly help me narrow down my search to what made the most sense for my long daily commute and made sure I stayed within my budget. I was impressed with how knowledgeable they were on SO many different cars! They understood my needs, were completely honest and didn't pressure me to buy something just because it was on their lot. We went to a lot of different dealerships to look, so I know that this is not always the case! My daughter's car's air conditioning stopped working. I was told that she needed a new one which was going to cost about $1,000. So I started calling around. When I spoke with Greg, he was hesitant to quote me a price. He asked me to just drop the car off and we would go from there. I have never done something like that--I took the chance. Greg fixed the air conditioning, I did not need a new part. Apparently, there was a lot of dirt and leaves that would not allow the air conditioning to work. She also had this horrible sound coming from the rear of the car, he fixed that too. All for less that half of what I thought it was originally going to cost. He is a great and honest mechanic.
