DO NOT USE PREFERRED! Worst phone company ever! It's a complete bait and switch scheme - they give you one price that you agree to and then send you a bill for substantially more. Dishonest sales reps, they lie just to make a commission off of you. Wasted my company's time and money. If I could give a negative number of stars I would.

Duped by Preferred

I just recieved my first bill. It is higher then my bill with AT&T. I requested that the saleperson put the terms and all charges in writing before I signed up. They wouldn't. I am on a monthly contract so will move back to at&t immediatly. I will dispute the bill and submit a complaint to BBB.

It's a scam

Do not believe a word they say. They tell you that they are with AT&T which is a blatant lie. They are recording your conversation and will use only your name and you saying the word ""yes"" to hold you to an agreement that you didn't even know you were making. Stay away from Preferred Long Distance Liars!

Misrepresentation and then the slam!

Preferred Long Distance will call you ""on behalf of AT&T"" and tell you that they are going to remove charges from your bill. Don't fall for it. They will transfer your service from your current provider to themselves. If their product and services are so good and save people money then why do they have to lie to people in order to get customers? I called AT&T and put a lock on my account so that companies like Preferred Long Distance can't make any changes to my services or to my bill. I would suggest that you do the same.
