I had a paperweight of a phone and walked into the Sprint store on Leucadia & El Camino Real with the hopes of a quick fix. I have the insurance plan on my phone so I figured everything would be ok. The clerk I spoke with (Kathy W.) was very polite but explained to be that my account was not yet ready for the full upgrade. Since Apple took over, they had done away with the partial credit for upgrades, I was pretty much out of luck and would most likely be looking at a $100 insurance replacement fee at minimum if I wanted to stick with my same phone, or would have to pay the inflated retail rate for a new phone (neither option is really plausible as funds are running a bit thin at the present time). She took my phone and told me they'd look at it and to come back in a couple hours. I left feeling very despondent and even started searching other companys' plans while I waited. With not even two hours passed I returned eagerly to the store only to find that not only had they temporarily fixed my phone, they went ahead and placed an order for a replacement phone at no extra charge to me! The staff here absolutely made my night, and not only will I not be switching carriers, I will definitely be back to this store in a few months when it comes time to renew the contract and upgrade this old clunker (to perhaps an evo or an iphone model). Thanks again guys! I cannot express how happy you made me tonight.
I went to the Sprint Store on N Rainbow, told the lady at the entrance desk what I was looking for and she turned me over to Claudia for service and within 15 minutes I had my upgrades - and thrid line added to my account and the refund paperwork fill out for me to send in. Was highly pleased by the service and pleasant surroundings. - JA
