The jail is a part of the Corrections Division, which is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of people in the jail. The division offers fingerprinting services for the public. It handles booking and release operations, as well as visits to inmates. The division provides record checking and inmate supervision services. The Corrections Division is governed by the Lorain County Sheriff's Office.
