Provided by CitysearchI have been a client with Mari Delaney since she first came to this area and have followed her with my cats wherever she was. She and her staff have always been warm, friendly, and go way above and beyond what other practices do. The staff has laughed with and cried with me but they have always treated my pets with love, compassion and top quality care. I have faith in any and all of the veterinarians in the practice since I know that Dr. Delaney has high standards and would not bring in any vets or other staff that do not meet her standards. I have her office number memorized and always suggest her practice to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian

Provided by CitysearchSome of the reviews on here-one in particular-are just ridiculous to me. Dr. Delaney is an extremely gifted DVM, as are her associates especially Dr. Holder. I find it beyond impossible to think of even one time in all the years they took care of my babies that they did anything wrong or anything that could even raise an eyebrow. They are extremely intelligent; manage the office beautifully-the staff is outstanding and they are never too busy for an emergency. I found them to be very very thorough, and supremely knowledgeable in their field. Outside of the clinical aspect of all of it-they are good people, that building is bursting at the seams with truly compassionate and gifted people who take a personal and loving approach to every single animal. I have dogs who are always into something, so over the years I have spent enough time in that office to be able to say with the utmost confidence that they are the absolute best at what they do. In fact the very office set up itself is genius and developed well before others were thinking so informatively about animal well being and emotional health. I had to take my dog to Cornell and the doctors there that I encountered not only knew who Dr. Delaney was; but agreed with me that I couldn't be taking my animals to a better DVM office. If you are looking for someone intelligent, compassionate and people who will truly always place great importance and respect in regards to the health of your pets-look no further. There is a reason that the local SPCA and the major university nearby hold this office in such regard, and a reason that my family does. They are amazing and we are so grateful to know them, as our our dogs, and just to ward off the comments of a seemingly crazy person-Hannah is wonderful-every single part of that beautifully sculpted staff is wonderful. You will not find better, not only in Elmira-really anywhere. Trust me.

Provided by CitysearchDr. Delaney used to be wonderful with pets, and had a great business when she used to work out of her car. Couldn't have asked for better. Now that the business has grown, it has gone completely downhill. You never know who you are going to see when you make an appointment and the doctors on staff have changed every visit. The office staff is either poorly trained, or have been there so long they ""know as much as the doctors"" they seem to think. They often belittle you in front of others. Service seems to be hit or miss, and there is no follow-through with seeing whomever is available. The compassion part of the office title no longer fits. Dr. Delaney should go back to servicing totally from her car!!

Provided by CitysearchDr. Delaney is an excellent veterinarian. She is compassionate, empathetic, very competent and knowledgeable. And yes, I believe she is intuitive. One would be hard pressed to find a better vet.
Too bad you can’t get past Hanna, her office manager. She is rude and impossible to deal with. Hanna professes to be an expert on veterinary law, yet she misquotes New York State veterinary law. She doesn’t even know the difference between a test result and medical advice. I did wonder if she truly didn't know or was outright lying. Hanna is too frustrating and confusing to deal with. What good is an excellent vet when a pet owner can’t get an important communication past Hanna? Her communication skills are absolutely abominable.

Provided by CitysearchGood Dog 1970 seems to have a problem with everything but themself. This place is great and the staff has NEVER been abusive to my animals. (Been going there for 6 years now.) Get over it and please find another Vet. The place is great without you...

Provided by CitysearchThe friendly staff at compassionate companion care have always been kind to my animals for years. You would have to be crazy not to love them. owning 3 pets of my own i have come to realize compassion is key to loving all animals. i have found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. i speak from expierience i lost a puppy and the staff sent me a caring card with their deepest simpathies. it is so much cleaner than any other vet i have been to.the warm enviroment relaxed my animals and made them so much more at ease. i greatly reccomend commpassionate companion care for all your animal needs. it is safe for your pet and your wallet which is great for these economic times.

Provided by CitysearchThe vets and staff at Compassionate Companion Care took on a nearly impossible situation when they took in my collie puppy. Having just rescued her as a very sick pup, I had been to vet after vet with the same answer. There was nothing they could do. Upon entering the office, the vet immediately took my little girl in and started talking about options. Six months later, after nearly weekly visits, I had a beautiful and healthy collie. The before and after pictures would take your breath away.
Every member of the staff shows how much they love animals. Having worked in the pet industry myself for years, I truly understand how difficult pet people and stubborn animals can be. But they seem to have a way with them there. Not only do I take my three dogs and three cats there now, but I do recommend them to anyone. They are affordable, compassionate and know what they are talking about.

Provided by CitysearchFIrst and last visit to this place. I cannot believe they call themselves compassionate. They are rude.
I saw them choking my dog with the leash because he wasn't wanting to follow the angry tech. The ""Doctor"" talks in the most annoying baby talk I have ever heard and got very upset when I asked her to talk to me in her grown up voice. Do yourself a favor and find another vet, there are alot in the area.
