I love Asian food, especially one from Thailand, not only because I'm Thai, lol. But also, the taste and flavor of Thai food is very tasty, and attractive. However, I haven't had much of knowledge about Northern Thai cuisine. except Khao Soi (coconut curry with noodle) luckily my friends know about this place.

So, we ordered Pink lady(Padthai with pink noodle), Jackfruit Salad(jackfruit sauté with ground pork), YumJinGai(spicy herbal soup with chicken n banana blossom) and Larb Nuea (spicy spicy spicy ground pork, pork liver with herbal stuffs)

every dishes were amazing! like Pink lady was not too sour, sweet as Padthai, but it has a strong scent of shrimp on the top. Larb was unique because it's sauté which is different from Thai E-san food. However, the best was Yum Jin Gai. it's not spicy nor sour as Tom Yum soup. but so characteristic, unique. Yum Jin Gai is a MUST.

Their foods were very authentic, very distinct. It's kind of irony that I was introduced to Thai food in US. but that's true. lol

certainly come back again.

Lamoon has a quality of being the only one of its kind, the Northern Thai cuisine. Apparently, there isn't another place represented themselves as a specific Northern Thai expertise like them. Moreover, I'm from Thailand too. So, let's give them a try.

First glance on the menu, I was stunned by unfamiliar names of their food. such as Crab egg palm, which is the grilled scramble egg with crab meat over banana leaves. NEVER HEARD IT before even in Thailand, lol. Probably Im from Bangkok, so I'm not get use to Northern Thai food much. hehehe. Anyway, it's very great. With banana leaves scent that gets into the scramble egg from grill. Along with the juiciness of crab meat and $7 for this big one. It's a steal.

Main dish, I was on the Khao Soi noodle. since I didn't want to take any risk with an unfamiliar name anymore. So, this is my safety dish.

Traditionally in Thailand, it comes with Chicken drumstick but I was informed by the server that, their beef version is very impressive one. Well, let's do it. It turned out a greatest Khao soi in my life so far.

Especially, Free Drink on Monday to Wed. OMG! Thai Iced Tea, here I comes.

To conclude, Lamoon has a tasty dishes, good vibe and nice service. What can I ask for more? It's a price that's very reasonable. You will love Lamoon. Enjoy!
