Decent, but we won't be rushing back. We rented the lodge cabin and it does not comfortably fit 8 people. There is a bed where the eating area should be. There is a small table for 4 to eat on and that is sandwiched in between a futon that is close to the door and the bed in the eat in area. The loft is really a crawl space above the kitchen. You use a very steep and narrow wooden stairs to climb up into it (looks more like a ladder with a wooden hand rail), the opening into the crawlspace is not very large. Our kids could sit straight up, and their heads wouldn't bump the ceiling, barely. The overhead crawlspace gets hot, so that means you have to pump up the AC, which can be bad since the bed is across from it. Their is a ceiling fan, but it's over the by fireplace / futon / tv area. So yeah, you get this cramped feeling, especially when you have more than 4 people in the lodge. We did like that they had multiple activities, but we were not impressed with the Staff. There were less than a handful of Staff Personnel that actually knew what Customer Service is all about. The rest of the Staff couldn't care less. The Staff responsible for the activities, were rude and are more the kind of people who make situations very awkward. Which you then have to explain to your children later on, why the girl or guy in charge of a certain activity was mean. What the Resort needs to know is that when you run an activity, it is more than just having a teen or young adult reluctantly showing up, handing stuff out and then disappearing into the woodwork. The splash park and pool were good. The water was cold, but that's excusable, especially in the summer weather. The Resort had someone coming by to constantly test the water, so it at least looked like they were managing the splash park and pool proactively. We didn't run into any rude campers, but then we were only there for a weekend. During the wet and wild event, the Campers had a ball splashing others with water. They were very mindful not to splash anyone who was not part of the event. What we didn't like was all of the extra traffic caused by trucks and cars that had their business logos and signs pasted on to their vehicle doors. After a while, you notice that these trucks and cars are really just promoting their businesses, because you see the same vehicles driving loops, back and forth, within the resort for an extended period of time. Again, this just causes extra traffic and you are worried for the safety of your children - as you can tell that some of these cars are not following the 5 mile an hour speed limit. Extra accommodations, like Golf carts, cost extra and are not included in the rental price; A badge to open the gate costs you a deposit of $20. Good luck if they even inform you about the badge, because the Staff person who "checked us in" didn't. Your kids will have fun, but that's after you run interference for them, blocking all of the unnecessary garbage you will come across. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't a great experience either.
