I had my back brakes replaced on my car 1 month ago. Since that time my rear brakes squeaked. I took my car back twice to have them check it out. They rudely stated that this is just normal until they needed to break in. I took my vehicle to the dealership and they confirmed that the brake job was shabby and that the calipers were sticking and would have eventually ruined the new rotors.

My car was hard to start and they told me I needed a timing belt and plugs. They charged me more than they quoted and told me they had to replace the wires too. Three days late the car left me stranded. Another shop replaced the fuel pump and it has run fine since.I would not recommend

My car had a noise in front end. After replacing the cv boots, the noise was still there. They said it was the drive shaft joints. West End said they could replace u-joints(6). They replaced a damaged drive shaft and u-joints and set me on my way. After less than 500 miles, u-joint failed.

$1400 later and a new drive shaft by another service center my car finally works. West End refuses to reimburse me for the drive shaft. They lied to me and gave me the run-around.

My Kia Sedona was overheating and blowing cold air from the heater. I replaced the thermostat, but that didn't fix it. I expected a $700 water pump replacement bill. I found West End Auto on and thought I'd give them a try. I dropped the van off at about 9:45 am and got a call at 4:30 pm. The guy said there was an air pocket in the radiator and they had to tilt the van to bleed the air out. I was much happier to spend $128 at a place that really understands cooling systems.

The business is not like Dobbs, with a clean waiting room, etc. It's a dirty old building with radiators and car parts lying around. But they really know their stuff. I will certainly go there again if I have another problem.
