I have sold Rowe living room furniture for nearly 25 years at a local furniture store. We also show several other major brands of American made upholstered furniture. I have always been struck by the fact that large numbers of customers who have purchased Rowe in the past insist on viewing and purchasing Rowe products when it finally becomes time to replace their original pieces. I have NEVER experienced this type of brand loyalty with any other brand of furniture in the store. Every brand has the occasional 'lemon". .but typically how that is resolved has more to do with store policy than the manufacturer's warranty. If I were to purchase a sofa today for myself it would definitely be a Rowe as I feel that they offer the best value today in terms of what you get for the amount of money you spend.
I was pretty suprised to see these low reviews for rowe. Not only do I seel Rowe furnishings in our interior design showroom, I own a Rowe. I bought it 4 months ago after selling brands like Vanguard, CR Laine, Norwalk, Hancock & Moore, etc. None of my clients have had a bad expierence with Rowe's quality, not have we had any showroom samples come in poorly made.
I did have a chair that came in the wrong fabric, but they quickly fixed the issue & sent us the right chair.
I am very happy with my sofa as well. They are a founding member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council & offer a great product, made in Va., at a great price point.
Also, the dealer who sold your sofa should take care of customer service issues. We handle all of ours & Rowe is always good about any issue that may arrive.
So my ranting has to do with a new Rowe sofa that I bought 3.5 months ago at Schleifer. The Wallace sofa is beautiful, however, my couch is a lemon. I took delivery mid October. When the couch was unwrapped the seams on the cushions were uneven as were the seams on the arms. Then the back cushioning is lumpy. The tops of the wooden legs stuck out from the piping so you can see unfinished wood. I kept meaning to call to have these issues dealt with ..then less than 3 months later we hear a LOUD crack, while we were sitting on it. Then another large crack. I called Schleifer the next day, explained they had a furniture repairer come out. He mentions that everything except the piling of the fabric is covered by warrant. I just spoke with Schleifer they tell me I have to pay for delivery charges to the furniture repairer to get this fixed!!!!! I am shocked, Do not ever buy a ROWE sofa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On top of which Schleifer never gave me the warranty for the couch so I din't know till 5 minutes ago that according to the warranty I have to pay half of shipping costs to get it repaired.
None of the phone numbers here will accept calls from consumers. Thus, if you have a customer service question, forget calling. They want you to use their web site. The main number listed will not even answer a call. The other number puts you into a phone menu that does not help you get in contact with a human.
