I came in for a hair cut. The cut is okay, nothing fancy. The styling was atrocious. I was shocked and in a dazed when the hairdresser was like "you're done." I wasn't even there for 25 mins. My hair usually takes 90 mins when I get it cut by true professionals. I expressed discontent and the owner Hayley went batshit crazy on me. Seriously. She flaunted the fact that I gave a tip to the stylist as a reason I couldn't be upset. Um, no. I tip EVERYONE because I'm a person of dignity. The owner hung up on me after calling me a dumb bitch. Do not go here. Do not even give this place a second thought. The worst hair experience I've ever had.
When I called to schedule my appointment I specifically asked the receptionist to pair me with someone who was experienced in bleach/blonde, that I was in the process of going blonde they decided to pair me with Rose. When I first arrived to my appointment everyone was very sweet and kind. Rose started by asking me what I wanted done, I then proceeded to show her a picture of a very Ash blonde and even expressed to her that my hair typically has a brass tint but that I've also been blonde before many times and knew the brass tint could be removed because it was not bad to begin with. After starting the appointment I was under the impression that we were using bleach and a toner on my hair which I agreed too. As the stylist started working on my hair I realized how inexperienced she actually was. I had my hair washed 2 separate times and each time I was soaked wet, my forehead was dripping and water was going down my back. When we finally started to blow dry I realized that my hair was ORANGE. I had initially said I wanted to trim my bangs but had to tell her no because when I saw my hair I knew she had messed up greatly. When my hair was dry, I even told the stylist that my hair was in fact more orange than it had ever been and at first was told "it could be the lighting" followed by "we can do another toner" which I happily declined because from someone who has been blonde many times her in lifetime I knew that was not the solution. Leaving the salon I was in tears, I immediely drove to another salon nearby to have them look at the damage, they agreed that my hair was in fact orange and every damaged. I then called Spectra to speak to the owner, the receptionist told me she was busy and could not speak so I left my number for her to call back. At 5:30 the receptionist called back but went to voicemail saying that the owner Hayley was unable to speak to me. The next morning I went into spectra as the doors opened to see the owner face to face. I kindly expressed that I was not happy with the outcome. I showed the owner the exact picture I showed the stylist of what I wanted. She replied that "sometimes the client and stylist see different colors" which may be true to some extent. She proceeded to tell me she was not able to refund my money or fix the mistake herself because she was in fact "booked for an entire year" she said their policy was "whoever messes it up has to fix it". I expressed to her that Rose would not be touching my hair again. She said the only solution would be too allow another stylist to do the exact same process again for free but I was already told by another salon that to fix my hair would be a different process. After leaving the salon without a solution I began to leave a review on Facebook where the owner then responded publicly telling me I was hiding behind "my phone and Facebook" even though I called and went into the store in person to speak with her. She again claimed I had called the store numerous times after leaving but in fact I only called once and politely left my name and number for a call back. I now know that if I had not went back in person I would not have ever heard from them again. The owner was extremely rude and instead of taking my frustration into consideration instead turned the situation around on me claiming to be my fault. I lost 100$ and had orange hair when I left. Thankfully, the Hair Depot in Ellijay helped fix and save my hair.
Kim was fantastic!!! I got the spa pedicure. She gave the best foot and leg massage!! She did great with my nails- very gentle and paid attention to every detail. The salon was nice- very comfortable and no tv. The massage chairs are new and easy to operate. One of the best salon experiences ever!Thank you, Kim!!!
I had the worst spray tan by Cathy on 6-9-16. It was very uneven and very streaked. The owner tried to blame it on me and refused any restitution. I paid $ 35. and $10. tip. I will never go back there.
I have been a client of this nail salon for over 3 years. They do an amazing job. My nails always look very natural and hold up well to my daily abuse. I have my nails refilled every 3 weeks. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.
Excellent service, clean and friendly. Nails look great!
I have taken my elderly mom to this salon for a year now on a weekly basis. They always are professional, and do a wonderful job with her hair. They listen to her and try and meet her needs each week. We have had to cancel a few times due to health problems and they are always easy to work with and get her in as soon as she is able. Super sweet ladies and a very nice atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone in the area.
Working with Spectra was a nightmare. I was part of a wedding party last week, and the bride selected Spectra to do our hair and make-up. When the ladies arrived at our cabin (late, but that wasn't even a big deal), they were very nice. They did an OK job on everyone's hair (although many of the bridesmaids' styles didn't even last through the ceremony), and the make-up application was good quality. It wasn't until we went to pay that the issues arose. The quote that they had given us several weeks before the wedding was nowhere near what they were asking us to pay - in fact, in some cases it was actually very close to double. When we asked the lead stylist about this discrepancy, she said that she had sent the wedding coordinator another, completely different quote THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING, after we had all committed to having the services performed. In addition, she also had a third quote with her on a piece of paper (that she showed no one until after the services had already been performed). Just to be clear, all three quotes were different, and progressively more expensive. The stylist also mentioned that they charge a little more if they have to actually drive to a location, as opposed to services rendered in the salon. That's totally understandable...if the bride's mother had not already given them a $200 travel deposit before they even arrived. To add insult to injury, the lead stylist who was working on the bride's hair made several comments such as "I don't know what the problem is, I couldn't have been more clear about this" in front of the bride, although several of the bridesmaids had said "We can talk about this in a little while..." to prevent stressing our friend out. She continued to make little comments like that, until we finally asked her to walk outside to discuss the issue. Finally, the lead stylist came to a compromise to charge us all one price - which, for many of us, was still going to be a good bit more than the original quote. We weren't happy, but we were ready for the problem to go away. I found out a few minutes ago that they are still hounding the bride's mother for more money, although we agreed to their "compromise." Believe me, brides and bridesmaids, this is NOT the kind of drama you want on your special day.
