We renovated a 100 year old barn then lived in in for 5 years. We were so happy with SBI and their craftsmen that we had them renovate the cottage and then the old house. This involved working with them over years and some times long distance. Every problem was addressed and since I did most of the designing they were happy to listen and help me develop my ideas. If there is ever another project here I will definitely use SBI. They are a caring and professional group of individuals who work together, with each other and with you, to produce the best possible outcome!

The Stebnitz family has taken care of us for over 20 years. The first job was extending our porch across the front of the house. Then several minor jobs were followed by a major addition around 2005. When I retired, we decided to sell our house in Illinois and move to our summer home on Geneva Lake. We needed several more rooms and an additional bathroom and the Stebnitz people guided us through the maze of code approvals for our septic system, foundation design, etc. They constantly kept in touch with us during construction to check on progress and any problems, of which there were none.

But the one single thing that still stands out in our minds was the suggestion by your plumbers and electricians to have a heated floor in the bathroom, and even more important, near instant hot water all through the house. Because of the distance from the water heater to the bathroom at the far end of the ranch style home, it used to take minutes for hot water to reach that bathroom. Now every time I turn the faucet and within a few seconds the water cones out piping hot, I thank you for an idea we never considered. Aside from the additional energy it may take to keep the hot water circulating, we are saving a great deal of water by not having to let the faucets runs so long to get the water hot.
