Since the moment of purchase, Thor Motor Coach has given me the run-around as to how to handle my current situation. Factory defects have led to an inoperable unit. This has lead me to think that I should have never bought the RV in the first place. Water entered the RV via a visible hole around the last air condition unit. This means that before the purchase, any rain, melting snow, and even the water of the AC has infiltrated the unit, damaging the walls, electricity, and floor. This has also caused leaks throughout the unit. There have been countless emails, phone calls, and correspondence asking for a PROPER solution to this problem and to no avail. Thor is basing their response as this is a warranty issue and it needs to be repaired. However, I purchased this as a NEW RV and not something that is like new. It has been a year since purchase and I am still dealing with this nightmare.
I bought one of their Class C motorhomes in 2013 and had problems from day 1. Took it back to the dealer and he did a temp fix on the making the toilet and faucets work. Still problems with debris in the water line (and not the tank). Seems like it was intentionally put in at time of manufacture. Also added three 108 amp batteries and cannot keep it charged as there is a continual large battery drain. The dealer, Mike Thompson RV, Fountain Valley, CA cannot fix it. Would never buy a Forest River product again.
ALTHOUGH THIS IS A GOOD IDEA, FOURWINDS HAS SCREWED IT UP. I HAVE AN 04 FUNMOVER WITH LESS THAN 20,000 MILES ON IT AND HAVE ALREADY REPLACED MOST OF THE FLOOR AND MUCH OF THE CHEAP LEAKING WATER LINES. I HAVE REPLACED SEVERAL OF THE INDOOR LIGHT FIXTURES. THE OUT DOOR STEREO NO LONGER WORKS. FOURWINDS CLAIMS THIS IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THE FORD PART WORKS PERFECTLY....TS THE FOURWINDS THATS FAULTY, BE CAREFUL BEFORE BUYING ONE OF THESE PIECES OF JUNK.
