Great Service, Came to my place within 1 hour. Replaced my battery in my garage and checked everything out. Great job, Steve
No matter whether an accident involved a freshly licensed teen or an experienced driver, knowing what to do (or not do) is essential to bouncing back.
All it takes is a little preparation to get your car winter-ready and to keep from getting into an icy situation.
It’s time to bring long sleeves and long pants out of storage, prep your home and car, and contact the cool weather home/yard contractors.
I was using Shaun and another Mechanic to take care of my car. I couldn't get to Shaun once, to my forever regret! I went to my other mechanic, had some work done, and within a month, I started hearing a noise and there was a burning smell. I had to drive to L.A, so naturally, I had to get my car road worthy. I was able to get into Shaun, and he let me know quickly that my fan trap was broken. He went on to explain, that this is a part that just 'doesn't break', but someone has to lean on it or place something heavy on it. When I had the work done, one of the new employees got into an arguement with my regarding a conversation taken place over the phone. He was not involved in the conversation. So, the fan trap is right by the radiator, and yes, I had my radiator flushed. Shaun ziptied it into place so I could get back on the road safely (at no cost). He also got a replacement part quickly. I also went back to the shop where the work was done originally, and they denied culpability...Shaun also went out of his way for me to also try to talk to the owner of the shop. The owner got angry (knowing he was in the wrong) and asked me to leave. I did, and will never return to that other shop. All of my business will be with Shaun. Shaun is ethical, honest and hard-working. I trust him completely.
I was looking for a car that was affordable for me so after doing some research, I came across Star Auto Group website. The website was great and provided a lot of photos of the cars that I was interested in. After looking at their inventory, I decided to call to see when was a good time to stop by. Jesus answered a lot of the questions that I had. I was satisfied enough to schedule a day to go in. I'm only off on weekends so I went in on a Saturday. The customer service was amazing. I know I had talked to Jesus on the phone but when I got there I met with Joe. I asked Joe how long they have been at that location and he said not too long, just a few months, but they could have fooled me because they seemed to have all of their stuff together. I walked out with a car that I absolutely LOVED and I HIGHLY recommend this place for those looking for a car with bad credit or good credit. Thank you Jesus and Joe!!!!!
Don't waste your time taking your vehicle anywhere else. Shaun has always done all of the work on all of my vehicles since I started driving. I have never been left stranded or broken down. Shaun has even stayed later than the shop hours to work on my car so I could get to work the next day, and always just charged me for what was done, never any extra fees. I also know several people who have had their project vehicle completed at Solid Rock Auto, as well as daily drivers and I have never once seen an unhappy customer. If you tell Shaun all of your hopes and dreams for your vehicle (or golf cart) he can make them happen. He will even make some better suggestions along the way, because he has the mind for it. Do yourself a favor and take whatever you are driving to him when you have any issues, or just feel like getting upgraded. AND BUY A STICKER FOR YOUR VEHICLE SO YOU CAN ROCK THE SOLID ROCK AUTO!!!!!
I found Steve online. He was the only guy out of 4 different tries on a Sunday that would answer his phone. My sons starter went out and he had school and work the following Monday. Steve got here in less than his estimated 30 minutes. He gave me a fair quote for the job. I supplied the new starter which I purchased from Auto Zone. After replacing the part, it did not work. He informed me I had purchased a faulty part. I went to O' Reilly per his suggestion and got a new starter before returning the other to Auto zone. He put it in and it started right up. He in effect had to replace the part twice, so I offered him more money than the original estimate he gave. He refused and just asked that we call him when we need a mechanic again. I definitely will. Friendly, timely, reliable and honest. Thank you Steve.
Tipton Honda in El Cajon has been serving my family and I for years. We have bought and leased 5 cars from them over the years and were always pleased with their vehicles and their service. We got two cars this weekend (Honda Accord & Honda Civic) and we were delighted to be assisted by the helpful and kind salesman, Mr. Matt who was very patient and cooperative with our request. He managed to give us a good deal on our cars and did his best to insure we were taken care of and got what we wanted. I recommend you ask for Matt when you go in looking for a car. Overall the experience was pretty good and Honda makes remarkable cars with high quality and top of the line service. We are very pleased with their cars and outstanding customer service. Honda never let us down!
Bought my new 2013 Honda Civic from Tipton Honda and they were FABULOUS! They honored the price we agreed on online (the USAA pricing for military members) -- there were NO extra charges / hassles when I got there. Saved me a lot of headaches compared to other dealerships that try to charge you for extra "specials / fees". This was hands down the BEST car buying experience I've ever had and will definitely recommend this Honda Dealership to all my friends. I worked with Miguel Torres and he was just awesome - but then the ENTIRE staff was so friendly and welcoming. BUY YOUR NEW HONDA FROM HERE!! Trust me - you will never want to go to another dealer again, Tipton Honda has the best integrity I've seen compared to other Honda dealerships I've visited.
We just bought a New Honda Accord my husband experience was a GOOD one. We did call to talk to someone and never got a call back, but when they did call back my husband told them to do their best to get him a better deal. We called with pricing from another dealer and Tipton Honda did their very best to get us a smoking deal. My husband hates talking to car salesman, but at Tipton Honda they really worked at get us the best deal. We received a better interest rate and they took $500.00 off. We are told by the another Honda Dealer that we were getting the BEST deal around, well they were WRONG Tipton give us a better deal. Thank you to Munwar and Isral for all your great work. Thank you for the Holy Bible too, WE love Love our New Honda Accord!!!
I took my 1998 S70 with over 200K miles to Auto Tech because it had a lot of deferred maintenance. I wanted to find a local Volvo repair shop that would do a good job but not be as high priced as the Volvo dealer. At Auto Tech, I was given options of how we could repair my S70. But the best experience was when the owner Tom, diagnosed my intermittent fuel delivery problem. By asking key questions and driving my car several times, he discovered a faulty part that the scanner would not pick up do to my Volvo's age. This was key since I was about to replace the fuel pump, the fuel filter and O2 sensor guessing it would solve the problem. My S70 gets better gas mileage now and I don't have to worry about losing power while on the freeways.
My husband and I had a great experience at this dealership looking and test driving the 2013 CRV and Honda Accord. Our salesman, Israel, was very accommodating and patiently answered our questions. We did not feel pressured into buying. Since we were anticipating the stereotype car salesman and treatment we were pleasantly surprised. We returned with our new car a few days later and Israel spent a good hour and a half helping us understand the different features and programming. The new buyer/owner in-service, who included sandwiches, etc., wasn't as in-depth as we had hoped. Hopefully, we won't be disappointed with other services offered by this dealership and look forward to being a happy first time Honda Accord owner.
Went in to look at a used the Spectra and ended up paying LESS THAN EXPECTED. I do not like being sold, but I do like buying cars. Salesman that I have encountered in a dealership I went to a week ago who shall remain nameless left me with a bad aftertaste. I was so relieved to meet an actual human being that does not smoke and spit while showing a car. I had a nice guy show me a brand new Spectra and the used one I came to see, I did not see the reason to pay the higher price just for a few less miles and after the most painless negotiating I have been through I signed and was on the road in total maybe a few hours I am a very happy customer and will come back and recommend to anyone else looking for a Kia!
There are more than 700,000 auto service technicians and mechanics in the U.S. Finding the right one to repair a dent in your car door or fix an engine that won't start can be overwhelming, especially when it's an emergency. Review a few important facts about auto repair professionals and what you can do to get the best possible mechanic working on your vehicle's issues for a fair price.
Looking For Reliability
Unlike home repair services that evaluate a property, meet with homeowners and have time to prepare before their physical work begins, auto repair businesses are often asked to make fixes on the spot. If you come into a garage with a tire issue, the expectation is the mechanic will know how to correct that problem quickly.
That is why reliability is so vital when searching for a trusted auto repair shop. It may take going to several different mechanics before you find one you are truly comfortable with. Pose questions to this professional to find out what approach they will take to repair your car or what alternatives are available. Shopping around also gives you the best opportunity to find the cheapest rate or the fastest service, as some garages may be backed up with other vehicles that need repair first.
A recommended way to locate a trustworthy auto repair professional is to seek out customer reviews. Online sites offer honest opinions from real customers who have used a business. Read through this feedback to learn how a business operates and what you can expect if you were to take your vehicle there. Look for reviews about how quick maintenance was completed and if prices were fair. By learning what other people have said about a garage, you can gain a better idea if it's the right place to go when you have a car problem in need of fixing.
It can be difficult to know which automotive problems are serious enough to require expert assistance. A ripped seat cushion or broken radio don't involve safety and will not warrant enough of a problem that going into a garage is required. However, setbacks with brakes, lights and other parts that are vital to the safety of your car's driver and passengers, as well as others on the road, necessitate quick fixes. Many modern automobiles will notify drivers of an issue, in the form of a signal on the dashboard or a noise within the vehicle.
In the event of an accident, even if your vehicle does not appear to have any damage on the outside, it is generally recommended that you see a trusted auto repair professional. Internal damage may have occurred, or an important part may have been knocked out of place. Fixing these issues before driving much further can prevent further vehicle breakdowns in the future. In the case of a serious accident, a body shop can assess the problems and determine the best course of action for repairs, as well as evaluate how much they will cost.
Beyond that, regular checkups are recommended. Tires must be rotated, fluids needs to be replaced and the engine must be evaluated. After driving 25,000 miles, most auto dealers suggest having the vehicle checked out to ensure everything is running smoothly. Taking the car into the auto repair professional you trust will protect you from further problems down the road.
Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop. At the same time, be aware of mechanic scams that can impact your experience.
Preventing Trips To The Professional
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage. By handling these types of tasks on your own, you'll gain a better understanding for how your car operates and save time and money.
Along with understanding how to fix manageable vehicle issues that may arise, taking preventative measures to avoid future problems is a valuable time saver. Many problem-solving best practices are related to the seasons. Your vehicle will be in different conditions in the winter than in the summer, meaning it requires a different type of preparation.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures the vehicle will be exposed to, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check your tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
There is a common worry among many people that auto repair professionals take advantage of the general public. Because so many people are unaware of how to fix the problems in their vehicle, they are nervous of being overcharged by mechanics or worried that the improper work is being done.
While the great majority of professionals in the industry are honest, hard-working people, a few bad apples can ruin everything. You should be extra careful when first visiting a mechanic to guarantee that the price you're charged and maintenance the vehicle receives are fair.
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you are in the shop and your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill.
The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done. That way, you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
By working closely with an auto repair professional and doing some of the tune-up work on your own, you will be less likely to fall for these scams. At the same time, you'll be able to drive out with a clean and healthy vehicle, thanks to the repairs made by a trained professional.
