On my daughter's 6th day, she was "bitten" (she was assaulted). Another child grabbed her by the face and hair and bit her face hard enough to break blood vessels. I understand things will happen with toddlers, and that isn't what shapes my opinion of this facility... it is how I was treated after removing my daughter from the facility. When I returned the following day to get my daughter's things and to return the key fobs - the director of the facility (who had previously been very nice), was now rude and icy. I stood in the lobby for a few minutes while someone got our things from the classroom and she didn't even ask how my daughter was doing. You would think that someone in the childcare industry would actually care about THE CHILD. Not here. And don't be fooled by the "schedule" they give you (which indicates circle time or other quieter times) or how they describe the toddler rooms as being 6 kids and 1 teacher... the older toddlers are in a room with 12 kids and 2 teachers. There is no structure, no downtime besides eating and nap time. They just ran around all day. My daughter was there for 3 hours a day and her 6 days at this facility has traumatized her.

My son attended this school from age 9 months to when we left for him to go to pre-K in public school at age 4 and he had a great experience there. The teachers and staff always treated us with love and kindness and my son is way ahead of the other kids in his class currently. They really work with the kids and teach them letters, numbers, colors in English and Spanish at a very early age. He loved that school and the staff and if we could have stayed there long term we would have.
Our kid is traumatized by this facility. We thought our child was getting the best care possible, only to realize that this was not the case. The children are basically ignored all day and not given the attention they need. The turn-over rate for teachers is high, so your child will have a new teacher very frequently. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy.
First impressions are that this is a wonderful facility, but some of the teachers are anything but wonderful. Our child was physically abused and constantly ignored. They have cameras in the classrooms, but no one ever checks them. Management protects it's employees instead of the children. Don't be fooled by the song and dance they give parents on the initial tour of this place. The teachers are not professional and they don't care.
My son started Churchill Academy six months ago. Before attending this school, we were home full time so it was definitely a huge transition. From the beginning, the staff communicated thoroughly about the ups and downs of his days. They really make an effort to be sensitive to each individual’s needs (child as well as parent) The other children have been so sweet to him and he was able to make friends pretty easily. His days are filled with learning and laughter and I am grateful for the rich environment Churchill has provided. Each morning he looks forward to going to school and he even started giving his teachers big hugs when I pick him up.
Our daughter has been going to My Small Wonders her whole life. I did a lot of research and toured several facilities before choosing My Small Wonders. Each room is beautifully themed with large painted walls. They have a terrific curriculum, our 1 year old daughter is learning new things every day. They have amazing playgrounds that were just updated to include a new shade system. It is just perfect for this Oklahoma heat!
The staff is okay. However, I had issues with my child being bit as well. I understand that it happens from time to time but the staff could at least act as if they care rather than shrugging and saying "I don't know what you want me to tell you..."
I felt the need to write a review since the only one on here is negative. I heard terrible things about MSW before the new owners took over. My daughter started after the changeover and I haven't had anything but positive experience. The owners and director are great with communicating and work hard to respond to any concerns you may have. I have adored all of my daughter's teachers and she loves going there. They have great curriculum that has my daughter's language and comprehensive skills charting way ahead of what is expected.
This place is is a mess. The staff is frazzled, disorganized, and rude.
