Pretty damn bad. The hot and sour soup tastes like beef broth and the tofu is so huge that you have to cut it up, absolutely too much tofu as well. The food was pretty mediocre and bland. The worst part of the meal was the spring rolls, the rolls were so huge that the wrapping was already ripped when it came to the table so food was falling out of it. The peanut sauce was like water, it tasted and felt disgusting. They also put mint inside their rolls which is absolutely wrong. I do not recommend this place at all. If you want Chinese then go to the Chopstix in shary. This place is a disgrace compared to that one.
I have been frequenting this restaurant for over 10 years. I think that the staff is very friendly, including the cooks. The entrees are made fresh and replenished throughout the day. It is a clean restaurant; the hot food is always hot and the cold food is always cold! The buffet prices are UNBEATABLE and there is also a full menu! Currently, lunch buffet is only $7.15 and dinner buffet is $8.55; these prices cover as much food from the buffet as you can eat and include dessert (and drinks are extra). On the weekends the buffet is $8.55. TO GO orders are great, too; only $7.something (for up to 2 lbs., and anything over the 2lbs. is prorated based on that rate - they charge more per lb. if you get almost all shrimp.)
The food is fresh delicious! My favorite chinese place.
I love this place because the food is always fresh!
The soup is good but it's never hot it's room temperature. Even when you send it back three times. Good for lunch not dinner every dish we order were warm.
The food is made fresh when you order amd it tastes great. The portions are enough for two people. The service is excellent. The restaurant is clean and has a nice ambiance.
The quality of the food is terrible. It is not authentic Chinese or Vietnamese food. I ordered their vermicelli pork bowl (bun) and they did not even provide fish sauce to eat with it which is what makes a bun bowl delicious. The pork was fatty, cut into huge pieces, and did not taste like Vietnamese grilled pork. Their General Tso chicken was even worse. The pieces of meat were huge( could not even pick up with a chopstick), again, fatty, dark meat that tasted disgusting. I only ended up eating their steamed rice and broccoli they provided on the side. If you want cheap "Americanized" Chinese or Vietnamese food, be my guest, I will not be eating here again. I will stick to going to Hop Tung in McAllen.
Sesame chicken at this place is awesome. I go here quite often and have always been please with my meal.
