One of my favorite pistols was a beat up old CZ 82 Makarov. Great shooter, but it really looked bad. I took that pistol to Frank to see what he could do with a new Duracoat finish.Frank worked with me to match colors with a new set of walnut grips I had found, and had some absolutely great suggestions regarding detail. So I left the pistol with him to refinish. The job he did refinishing that pistol is one of the best jobs I have ever seen. And I am an old codger. The resulting color combination is striking, and the detail is simply more than I ever expected.I took the refinished pistol to the range today and put 100 rounds through it to make sure it was reassembled properly. Not a hiccup. That pistol shoots as well or better than it did when I left it at Heritage.I cannot say enough about the Duracoat finish job, or the precision with which the pistol was reassembled. If you need gunsmithing work done by someone who really takes pride in what they do, go see Frank at Heritage Gun Works.
I've been visiting Green Mountain Guns for several months. They were extremley busy earlier,so I didn't expect to be spoken to unless I pushed my to the counter. No problem with that.More recently, they have slowed down a little and several of the guys ask me if I need help every time I visit.Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, haven't seen any grumps here at all.Prices are in line with every other shop I visit, and I often find used guns for a bargain price.Bullets are a little scarce, but they have plenty of primers.Powder is not stocked out on the shelf, and I haven't asked recently,so I can't say much there. The selection of firearms is real good, people treat me good, and I will continue to spend my money here.
Heritage Gun Works inc. is the best shop for any gunsmithing, products, or firearm purchases. Heritage Gun Works beats the prices and customer service of other shops like The Gun Room and Machine Gun Tours, both of who have ripped me off on products and services. Heritage Gun Works provides the best custom Duracoating of any shop I have ever seen as exemplified by the photo of my firearm in the gallery above. I also took a top notch concealed carry course with HGW and consider it the best value offered by any shop. The gunsmithing done by HGW took my rifle from average to extraordinary.
I have been trading with GMG for more than 25 years. They are an extremely busy shop with mostly great staff. I find the prices to be about the best in the Denver area for guns. Are they perfect? No. But neither am I. Take the whiny comments with a grain of salt.
Greg pays attention to detail and really knows his business. I have taken several firearms to Greg. They come back repaired perfectly in better condition than when I brought them in for repair.
I took the concealed carry class with Heritage Gun Works and found it to be very informative, a fun class to be in and the instructor quite knowledgeable.
Honest and trust worthy. They gave me good advice on cal. And brand .
professional and knowledgable
