Prop Shop

I volunteer at the PROP SHOP, a non-profit, upscale resale store, whose proceeds go to PROP (a food shelf & services for clients in need), and Meals on Wheels. Anyone can shop at the PROP SHOP. PROP was started for residents in Eden Prairie & Chanhassen in 1994. In 2007, PROP SHOP was started, to supplement income for PROP. Everyone is welcome to shop at the PROP SHOP. In 3 short years, PROP SHOP has quickly outgrown it’s space, and has a wonderful selection of very nice items, which include: clothing, furniture, household decorative items, books, DVD’s, CD’s, games, toys, etc.

Despite public perception, Eden Prairie & Chanhassen do have many people who need help. Many people are out of work, or they don’t have education and/or work skills. The PROP SHOP is a wonderful place to volunteer, and is always looking for new volunteers (16 - 95) to help with this project. They also are very grateful for cash donations and donations of nice clean merchandise (in good condition), ONLY on Wednesdays 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. No electronics are accepted. Bring a list of your donations, so that you can tax deduct.

Due to our space limitations, they ask that you call 952-934-2323 or email info@propshopep.org, ahead regarding furniture donations. PROP SHOP is open to everyone: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sunday 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Much more information can be found at: www.propshopep.org. The staff is a great collection of very nice people, who work very hard to maintain the shop and be helpful and respectful to all customers. I have found a whole family of friends there. However, it is a very dangerous place to volunteer, without buying a few things for myself or as gifts for friends & family. Come browse through the store and enjoy! You will love it!
