PLEASE READ: Dec 5, 2015: $30 part installed in 15 minutes, $592 bill. In my opinion, EXCESSIVE BILLING. Our furnace was maintaining low setting at 50 degrees but would not turn on once turned up. Technician arrived. First suggestion was to replace entire furnace since it is a Lenox from 1994. I said I might agree but I don't have the money since this is a new home to us. Second suggestion was that the induction motor was not working which caused the system not to turn on, estimate was $900. I said I would shop around, hard for me to do that cost. At last he said he "spoke too soon" and the control board was not working. Estimated cost is $468. I said to do it. By the time I returned from getting a coffee half a mile away, no more than 15 minutes, the work was done and he was packed up. Before I paid I Googled the part. On numerous websites the part is no more then $30. Yes, $30, please click link below. When presented with that information the technician had nothing to say. So effectively I paid $438 for 15 minutes of labor plus $89 for the show up fee, which was not credited toward my bill as advertised, foolish me (total $592). I think any reasonable person would say that the cost of this visit is excessive. I gave my word to pay so I did. Speaking with the company's "Quality Assurance" representative, she said that their value is that they send out qualified personnel that are drug tested and screened and the convenience of having the part with them. She also suggested that the cost includes the warranty on the part, but seriously, its a $30 part!? So I paid $438 for standard practice in any business. Always google materials cost before you accept an estimate from this company (if you read this and still want to use them!). AJ Perri is in my opinion taking advantage of consumers not having any knowledge about HVAC material costs or labor costs. They are short sighted as I will be replacing my entire system, just not with them. Please tell your friends of this review if they are considering using AJ Perri for anything. If the company has any objection to the facts presented, I dare them to respond. Happy to post my receipt if necessary. Yes, the system works now.
AJ Perri took over for Gilson. It was the best thing that ever happened as they have been the best HVAC company I've ever had.
AJ Perri installed a Rinnai tankless hot water heater after the sales department convinced me about how much better it would be than a traditional hot water heater and how the benefits would offset the great disparity in cost. After a few years (while still under warranty) the Rinnai unit began to emit a loud rumbling noise, started beeping, showed an error code, and stopped producing hot water. Multiple service calls have been made regarding this issue, each time resulting in having to miss work while I wait for a technician. After about six times of having no hot water (including for a whole week in the winter), waiting for service calls, having parts replaced, etc. I was assured by the technical advisor that the problem was resolved. After the second to last assurance I was promised that if I had one more issue that the unit would be replaced.This promise was unfulfilled when the unit again stopped working. The technical advisor worked on the unit and I was told that the problem was clearly resolved and that the unit would be fine. I asked for my warranty to be extended because I was not confident that there would be no further problems. AJ Perri extended my warranty and promised that if I had the same issue again that the unit would be replaced.Yesterday the unit again had the same issue and I had no hot water. I spoke with the technical advisor this morning and reminded him of the agreement to replace the unit and he informed me that he would have to have a technician look at the unit before he could do anything. I arranged for the technician to come out, again having to miss a day of work, and during scheduling asked to speak with someone above the technical advisor. I was told that I should speak again with the technical advisor, to which I replied that I would prefer to speak with someone above him as he has not been able to resolve my issue (even with multiple visits to my home). I was told no one was available but someone would call me back. I am waiting for a response from AJ Perri. There customer service is deplorable. It is very difficult to speak with anyone in any sort of authority. I have had my air conditioning, heat, and hot water all replaced with this company before I realized how little they care about their customers.
Please be advised that a representative form AJ Perri Inc came out to see my parents for an air conditioning problem. Their home is six years old and instead of diagnosing the problem, they sat down with my mom and dad and told them they needed a brand new unit which cost over $15,000. My dad is in a wheel chair and suffers from dementia and my mother has althseimers. When the nurse that was over the house saw my dad give the man a $5000.00 check, she proceeded to call me. This deal was done on Sunday, 9/7/14, contract issued and signed by my dad. The work was scheduled to start Monday morning on 9/8/2014. I had my fathers friend call the company on Monday morning, told them not to come, and we called the bank at 9:00am to stop payment on the check. When my brother brought over his repair man, the fuses were blown and replaced for $50.00 and the system works fine.
This company is a pure SCAM! They say its 79$ to come out and bang me for 2100$ for a water heater repair that was under WARRANTY! The water heater is $488 at Loews! later find out I had a 8 year warranty, sad part is they installed it 2 1/2 years ago. I am in the process of taking them to court. Do your self a favor and RUN away!!

I used AJ Perri last year for an install of a new GF and they also did work on 2 of my AC systems before. I was very impressed with the way they worked each time. They aren’t the typical HVAC company. I was impressed that the techs wore booties and put down drop cloths to protect my floors. The techs I came in contact with were very professional and a great group of guys. I am moving to another state so I unfortunately won’t be able to use them again, but I have already told other home owners to use them.
I thank all @ a j perri for their professional, courteous & prompt service. I originally called another drain cleaning co. to clear my clogged kitchen sink but they made little attempt to solve the problem they charged me then told me additional work would cost me approx. $700.00 to fix. Very satisfied with aj perri.
Kevin came to our home to clean a washer drain for us. We want you to know he not only did a great job with the work, but Kevin was also very courteous, informative, knowledgeable and a genuine pleasure to deal with. He represents your company well. This was our first time using AJ Perri, but it will certainly not be the last.
